We stayed there to attend a friend's wedding, and it hit mixed marks. On the one side, the room was very nice -if a little standard for the price and the promise of the reception area- and the breakfast buffet was really delicious. I specially liked the chimichangas de chilorio. On the other side it sits a bit away from...

This is a fine place to stay, if you are on a budget. It is clean and safe, and convenient to charming downtown Guanajuato. But there is nothing luxurious or fancy or charming or really memorable about it.

The room was so stuffy! The window did not open. The air conditioner was mounted over the entrance to the bathroom. It dripped continually and the carpet was soaked. We called twice to have it repaired and not done. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable.

This is a fairly modern hotel with some very nice architectural touches to give it a much older feel. Very nice grounds and stonework throughout. It is a fair distance from the center of tourist destinations, but local cabs are very reasonably priced.

Camino Real Hotels usually have it all. Great service, facilities and food. Luxury is one of the words that describes this chain. We picked this hotel as it was in the suggestions for the wedding that we were attending and it was close to it. Camino Real Guanajuato has nice facilities it is built over a beautiful XVII century hacienda,...

The property is not located in the center of the city. Because of this distance, it can have quiet and calm atmosphere. However, you need a taxi to go to the major attractions, cost of 50 Mexico pesos. It is kinds of trade off between easy access to fun and quiet room.

Camino Real is a comfortable, clean and well appointed hotel in the Zona Norte, short downhill walk to the Centro. It's decidedly Western, with wifi, meeting rooms, two pools, terraces and a somewhat lackluster dining room. Traveling with a group, or conducting any kind of business meeting would make this a good choice, as its large and has full business...

The room was nice and the historical building is kinda cool. But the poor service and the out of the way location make it a place I would not stay in again. It's a long walk to see anything and the people just weren't very helpful or friendly. I don't recommend it.
