We stayed in apartment #2 and it was exactly as it was described. Mike met us when we arrived and gave us a very clear and warm introduction to the unit and Guanajuato. The unit is a 20-30 minute walk to Centro in one direction and a 10 minute walk in the other direction to Soriana (a grocery store). The...

As soon as we set foot into this apartment, we were taken in by its charm. Mike and Ana have worked hard at making the apartment feel like a traditional Mexican home without sacrificing any modern-day conveniences. The tile work and beautifully crafted furniture/cabinets are all work created by custom craftspeople. With their cultural artifacts filling in the decor on...

Mike could not have been more helpful and, as we were there for a long stay (one month in the upper apartment and a second month in the ground level apartment), we really appreciated all his help. Very responsive and friendly. We loved the location in the San Javier area of Guanajuato. No crazy-steep callejóns with stairs to deal with...

This was my third visit to Casa Alhondiga. The house is comfortable, well equipped, secure and convenient to all ameneties. It is located in a residencial section yet still only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. Mike and Ana are very responsive, approachable owners and are quick to address any concern/problem should it arise.

There are cheaper places and certainly places closer to the centre of town. But this accommodation is amazing. It is three stacked apartments, cleaned weekly, absolutely charming and a pleasure to return to after a day in town. Bus on the corner otherwise a 15 minute walk to Alhondiga and another 15 to the middle of everything. The best thing...

I stayed in the third floor apartment over three weeks in February 2015 and was very comfortable there. I especially appreciated the many amenities of the apartment, including a nice rooftop patio with a view of the city and mountains beyond, unlimited use of the full-size washer and dryer (with laundry detergent) on the rooftop, a filtered water system and...

We stayed the month of December 2014 in the Alhondiga house. It was very nicely decorated and well equipped in every room, esp. the kitchen. Mike, the owner, was very cordial and helpful whenever we had questions. The only issue for us was all the steps from street level up to the house, but we got used to them over...

I stayed at the Vintage Guanajuato suites twice, both times on the third level. The suite was beautifully decorated with traditional crafts, the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, and the shower has lots of hot water. I appreciated the filtered water and coffee + sugar on hand. I work for an on-line marketing company and need a stable...

The casita is just as described and it's perfect! Little amenities -extra towels, kitchen utensils, extra blankets, internet, etc- made us feel like home. Even getting to the house gives you some needed exercise -if you know Guanajuato's streets you'll know what we mean- after all the delicious mexican food you'll find around the city. It's centrally located yet away...

We stayed in the Alhondiga House for 5 weeks. It was absolutely a positive experience. The house was decorated in nice traditional Mexican style, very well furnished and fullfilled all our needs, plus an amzing front yard full of oranges and limes, and a roof of beautiful view of the city. The owners - Mike and Ana have been such...
