No aircondition! Realy poor serice at the front desk. But the worse was the rooms. Dust everyware. Window without any view. No sorry view to another room in the well. Only price and location was a five star!

Don’t stay here. This place is one of the worst hotels above 2 stars that I have stayed at in Mexico, and I have stayed at a lot. My saga at this 4 star hotel: 1. Awful check in. The guy at reception couldn’t have been more rude and dismissive. I had already booked in with a major booking service...

This wasn't a very interesting hotel, but you can't beat the value. It's two blocks from the Alemeda, between the Zocalo and Reforma, two blocks from the Juarez metro station. There's lots of marble and nice wooden fixtures, and the place was very clean. The room was fine - comfortable bed, drinking water from a special faucet, a hair dryer...

Hotel Metropol has a good level of comfort for the price. You get a large room, a good shower and reasonable amenities, but no air conditioning. There is a convenient restaurant downstairs, service is efficient and food OK for the price. We found coffee is as bad as anywhere else, unlike one other contributor. Main argument in favor of this...

This hotel completely surprised me. For the modest price the beds were vey comfortable and I slept the best sleep in days. Staff helpful and would recommend. Didn't eat here but the menu looked reasonable for breakfast

I went to the Mexico City with my boyfriend for the New Year's Eve (which was btw. a lot of fun) and booked this hotel. I was very satisfied with the location and maintanance of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the bed very comfortable. Close to everything that we wanted to visit in the Mexico City.

I normally don't write reviews, but seemed it's necessary to share this info with travelers. I read the reviews below and decided to give it a shot as I've been trying out different hotels in the area. And it was a total failure. First, there was a blackout in the area and I had no electricity, no internet, whatsoever. But,...

I found the location to be very good, just 3 blocks from Juarez metro and less than a 10 minute walk from the zocalo. Taxi were abundant and the traffic noise was only a factor for 1 row of rooms. The hotel itself was very clean and the room bigger than I expected. The bed were also very comfortable and...

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
