This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel because we love the location and service. It is an older hotel in Centro Historical and it could use some renovations, but the rooms are comfortable. The famous los Azules San Borns cafe is within walking distance as is the Bella's Artes museum and the museum of tolerance. There are many...

Watch out if you're booking here. It's location is great--very close to the public square, and lots of amazing sites in Mexico City within walking distance. The room seemed nice enough at first. But at night, there were the loudest parties I've ever heard in a hotel. Don't count on any sleep!

This hotel, while extremely reasonable, could use a bit of updating. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast buffett was substantial and rerasonable. However the shower was appalling and the elevator service was pretty scary with one elevator not working at all It is close to lots of major attractions and a bit off the main street.

the is located close to a very busy street, so there is street noise, if your not used to city noise it could be a problem, as a city dweller, I didn't find it to be a problem. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom could stand an update the water pressure, wasn't very good in the shower....

Noisy, no a/c, smelly, outdated, unclean, poor food, my daughter's stuffed animal was stolen, rates were raised but no nice updates, no screens on windows, old boiler made awful clanging noises at night, elevators are slow and can only hold 6 people at once, my friend tripped on an unmarked small step around a corner and hurt himself. Nice employees...

There is not much we could say that is good about this hotel, besides the view. This is an older hotel with no A/C on the 12th floor. The hotel had the slowest elevator we have ever been on. If there are people on floors below you it will take awhile and just because you hit the button first does...

The location of the hotel cannot be faulted, right in the centre of Mexico. The rooms, however, most definitely can. Our room was dirty, especially the bathroom. We had no hot water. The beds were very uncomfortable. Our cupboard was completely broken. The rooms and reception desperately need updating.

Hotel location is extremely convenient. Steps away, you will find many places to eat, buy, and hang out (park). Walking distance to historical centre of the city. Subway station Hidalgo is pretty much around the corner. Check in process was efficient. Reception spoke suitable English. Rooms are dated, simple, and spacious. Bathroom lacked shelving space in the shower and in...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights as part of a group tour. I was traveling as a single person with the group so I had my own room. On the first night, I had a terrible room on the 10th floor--broken sink, dirty carpet, non-working TV, etc. I mentioned to our tour guide that we might try to...

Pretty out-dated hotel, however basically clean and functional. Staff service was ok. Showers are huge with really good pressure (I felt bad about how much water they used!). The location was convenient for walking around centro historico. There were a lot of big groups staying while we were there, including lots of evangelistic groups.

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
