Had a horrible two day stay. Checked in and had issues with reservations. Then was booked on fifth floor and the ceiling in hallways had holes and the cement falling and chipping. Keep in mind this is a $200 plus US hotel a night. Had to pay for internet and it was spotty and kicked you off when utilizing. Service... More

I stayed at the Camino Real Polanco for one week on business in July 2014. It is a very large establishment, with a bit of a resort feel (three swimming pools and numerous high end dining options). The location is ideal, in between Polanco and Avenida de la Reforma business district, and walking distance to Ave. Presidente Masaryk. The room... More

For someone on the go behind the hotel is Circle K, GNC, Subway, Mexican Cantina style restaurant. Not far from Cinema. The huge park across the street is nice. Great place if on business. Very helpfull staff. Nice pool and a great gym. Internet is very touch in go in the rooms but works in the lobby if you can't... More

Great place to stay for business! Gardens, no noise from the traffic--self contained with multiple restaurant choices, pool and a fantastic gym! Room and bathroom are spacious, great amenities, including an iron! No complaints--highly recommend.

The Camino Real is a nice hotel, definitely starting to show its age. The rooms were clean, the carpet was starting to get old. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I don't have anything negative to say about the hotel, in my opinion it's a 4 Star Hotel.

Excellent property, quite old but very well maintained. It has the typical Mexican colorful decoration. The rooms where large and the bathroom all with high end materials. Attention, rooms facing the street tend to be quite noisy. It has like 7 restaurants inside the property. I visited three, all excellent. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Room: I was lucky enough to have an upgraded room on the concierge level with complimentary beverages and snacks throughout the day. My room was recently updated with an Eames like chair, purple carpets and a smart balcony with a teak lounger. My room was clean and design was smart. Hotel: The public spaces were amazing. Every corner seemed to... More

I booked my stay at one of their main suites. The room was big, on a bottom floor and with a beautiful glass wall overlooking a private pool. However, the room was very dark and with few lamps. The hallways are in need of a face lift. The carpet seems to be a bit old and needs fresh paint in... More

This hotel is very nice, has a Mexican Contemporary Architecture and the restaurant there are awesome, they have the beef bar and Marimoto is a japenese, this is excellent, when you go to this hotel I'll recommend the room in the middle because the room close to street is very noise, but price vs value is very good.

I went to Mexico City for business purposes and was pleasantly surprised to be treated like royalty by the staff of this Grand Dame Resort hotel in the middle of the Polanco district. My two sons and I enjoyed the Camino Real Club cocktails and breakfast but also Morimoto’s wine paring menu, it was delicious. I will be going back... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Real Polanco is unique architectural concept, created by highly-regarded architect Ricardo Legorreta. This space is considered a Hotel-Museum for its beauty and art collection. It opened its doors to the public on July 25, 1968, combining modern features with shapes clearly reminiscent of Prehispanic pyramids, the elements of which merge together to create a wonderful architectural work. Camino Real Polanco has hosted two soccer World Cups and the Olympic Games, as well as over 210 official visits from presidents and kings from all over the world.
