I loved this hotel. The decor was beautiful and my room was clean, bright and airy. If I returned I would love the same room. The staff at reception were always friendly, smiley and patcient. At check in I revived plenty of information about the local transport and directions. The majority of the stay was nice and peaceful, although the...

I stayed here for two nights with a fellow business traveler and we enjoyed the charm and character of this basic, but lovely property. The price was excellent, particularly given the location right off the Reforma. The food was also very good, served in a small, elegant dining room or out on the patio. The only problem we had was...

My husband and I are in our last few days at this guest house. We have been thrilled with our choice to,stay here! We were given a huge room in the back of the hotel. The bed is incredible and the cleanliness of the room and property is not notch! We order capuchinos every morning via room service and must...

We spent four nights at the Hotel Casa Gonzalez. The hotel is in a great location that is very close to the the Via Reforma but is on a quiet, tree-lined street near the British Embassy. The hotel is very charming and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully stay here again very...

Spent 2 nights here on our way to and from Nicaragua and I promise myself to stay here again next time i'm in Mexico city. The pricing is brilliant, so affordable, in a great part of town, the property is quiet, beautiful and very clean! We even had a room on a main road (Rio Lerma) and it was super...

We stayed at this hotel Three nights. We got a large room facing the street. The rooms bed were god and shower OK. Water supply here is not the best so if the pressure of water is the most important for you maybe Think twice. When you step through the door you enter Another World. A very nice Little inner...

Hotel Casa Gonzalez is an island of calm. Located just a short walk from both the metro and from Chapultepec Park with it's many promenades and museums, you can't go wrong! The restaurant also serves delicious meals in a charming family style setting.

The location was perfect for me. Safe area with lots of places to drop in for an espresso... My room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and restaurant are set up so that guests can easily interact if they want to. In just two days, I met a lot of interesting people. I will return again....

Charming, old-fashioned courtyard style motel with balcony on many rooms. Beautiful old wood floors. There are several sections. I stayed in the older building that was once a family home. Very charming. Other sections have been added over time, it seems and are more modern, but still 1960-ish. Restaurant serving 3 meals/day. Friendly, helpful staff in all areas. Very secure...

Casa Gonzalez has been around a long time and is well known among the 'coterie." Located a couple of blocks from the American Embassy and La Reforma, it is convenient to the Zocolo (2 miles, best by taxi) and very good modest restaurants around the corner. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Best are the other guests, from around...

The most important is that we want to make this your home away from home, at an accessible price.Casa Gonzalez is four old homes surrounded by courtyards and gardens of different eras that have been adapted to make a home for travelers. The two original homes were built by the current owners grandfather in the mid 1920's.One of the houses belonged to a famous movie star, Lupe Velez (who married Johnny Weissmuller for a few years). The latest addition was built in the early 1940's by a relatively well know architect, Roberto Buenrostro, as his private residence. The guest house started operating in the early 30's by the grandmother and great grandmother of the current owners. ... more   less
