One side of the hotel has been modernized and is farther from the busy street, and thus is acceptable. The other side was WAY too loud for me - I couldn't sleep at all since the traffic goes all night, with plenty of honking - I was grateful that they changed my room for me. There is a restaurant (and...

Very well located in one of the main streets of south Mexico City, this old hotel has ample rooms, friendly staff and location is excellent but the age is showing up and needs a remodeling badly. Restaurant is average and the parking lot rooms are very quiet. Rates are good specially for the are where this hotel is.

Big, big problem as far as cleaning is concerned. We have been in this hotel at least ten or fifteen times. Several times at the beginning we had to complain about the beds: dirty sheets, sometimes obviously they did not change them at all! Even hair from lower regions of the body were exhibitet... It got worse.  Last few times...

I was in Mex taking a course, so this hotel was in the perfect location for us because it was walking distance to where we needed to go. Only one side of the hotel is renovated so MAKE SURE you stay on that side if you stay here. The other side is VERY DATED and I wouldn't stay there. My...

stayed in the old part of the hotel, large room, very clean, I can recommend it ... although be aware that there is no way to open the windows, so if you like fresh air... a problem. The price is very good for this part of the city but you pay with having average service.

I stayed at the new section of the hotel. Lovely, huge room, super clean, with a user friendly safe deposit box, and a great television. A very modern bathroom. Restaurant had great food and not expensive. Easy to get a cab, and the hotel´s great location lets you walk around to restaurants, shops, bars, coffee shops, and a park in...

My experience with the Hotel El Diplomatico, but please be aware that they have very few English speaking staff and the location of the rooms is a little confusing. In addition, although my room was very nice overall, there was some water damage due to water from the shower flowing to the composite flooring in the room. Also, I am...

Staff is great (old fashion treatment) Restaurant prices not too high and food is relatively good. Construction works around the area made it difficult to sleep during the day but if you area away sightseeing it is worth the money.

This hotel has an exellent location in a nice area of the city. Easy to reach with a big park just next to it and lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The staff is friendly. The room looks old and has bad plumbing with leaky fawcets. The mattresses are very stiff and the beds are to small for people...

Good room, but some walls are thin and it's noisy. But I think other rooms are better in this sense. I liked the hotel even I stayed one night, The bathroom is very well and the bed very comfortable. It's a good option in that zone.

Thank Walter A
