The room was stuffy with a view at a plain wall 3m across, probably because it window didn't provide good air circulation. Location of hotel is very good, right in the center, close to two metro stations and to the stop of metro is linea 4 (cheap way to get to/from airport). The room itself was small but comfortable, bathroom...

We visited Mexico City just last week and we needed a hotel close to the Zocalo and decent enough to have a good night rest. We found it in Hotel Marlowe. It is just one block from Bellas Artes and two or three blocks from the Zocalo. This also means that you have a metro station very close to you...

We had a Suite (separate sitting room, bedroom, and balcony) and paid less than $50.00 per night. There are many positives: (1) the location is perfect--near Alameda Park, many sights, restaurants, and transportation; (2) the room was large and very comfortable (although some rooms which I saw being cleaned looked quite small); (3) the housekeeping staff was excellent and the...

We only wanted this place for one night. The rooms are smaller than they look in the pictures. Internet isn't great. Only thing going for it is the price. The toilet should be clean before a guest enters it! I'm feeling generous so 3 stars.

The room size was big and comfy, although dated. Lobby was under maintenance so there was a little bit of noise The front desk service was ok, they were not rude but not friendly either. The location was excellent. I just stayed one night.

Mexico city was our first stop in Mexico. We spent three nights at Marlowe. Pros: 1. Great price 2. Convenient location. It is close to Zocalo. Right next to several legit local restaurants. 4-minute walk to El moro, which is a famous churro place that I didn't have the luck to try. 3. Excellent Service. Not all the staff speak...

This is a budget hotel. No frills nor hype. Customer service is a hit or miss. Most of them are not very helpful nor friendly. The room is awfully small and the way it is built is so upsetting - you can hear every noise from the adjacent rooms, stairs, hallways and even from the outside. It was very hard...

The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the Zocalo and three minutes from the Palace of Bella Arte. It is very convenient . It is a 3 star hotel with all basis facilities. Rooms are quiet and clean. The room rates were not expensive. The only draw back is poor wifi inside rooms within a few hours at nite time....

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
