Great place, clean, nice, affordable, in the great location in the middle of down town and in a wonderful plaza with great Mexican shops, from a mezcaleria to jewelry and others. Also great restaurants, the fee includes a small breakfast, very kind people.

I stayed in room 11 by the patio and it was extremely loud and they know it because they even furnish you with earplugs. The room although tiny and lovely it was a sauna. I complained about it, they sent a maintenance guy, who was nice, and in a second he was done and I was still in a sauna....

I stayed with a school group here, we booked a four person room with a private bathroom. A couple days before we were notified they didn't have a private bathroom for us. This first stay was Sunday and Monday nights- there was LOUD CLUB music playing until 2am both nights. Which, considering it was a hostel and i was so...

Overall great stay! Pros: Location, cleanliness, design, facilities (part of Downtown complex with great restaurant, rooftop bar and pool) Cons: very poor WiFi, inexistent in the dorm rooms, no heating, poor breakfast.

We booked to stay at Downtown beds well in advance but when we arrived after travelling through most of America prior, we were told the private room we had booked was no longer available and that we could have a 4 person and it'll be just for the two of us. That was fine, we're not picky but obviously a...

We booked a private room but the website didn't say we had to pay a deposit for bedding and towels. The room looks nice and minimalistic so minimalistic it doesn't have windows. There was a noise all night like a generator, quite loud. We woke up with a headache for the lack of air. Breakfast is included, which is a...

It's expensive. The bathrooms are a walk from the bedroom, the mirrors are weird (fish eye), it's really dark too. The WiFi doesnt work in the rooms. The communal areas are outside and cold (I want to work on my laptop but not outside). The safe in the room is too small for my camera and my padlock doesn't fit...

I am really torn. The design is chic, however it lacks in functionality, for example the mirrors in the bathroom are the round mirrors, normally used to see round a corner in a car! We stayed in a private double, again chic but lacked simple functionality. It is noisy, there was a private party on the sister hotel's terrace, which...

Open minded, with some mixed gender rooms and toilets; clean and with a comfy TV lounge, the building alone is worth the stay. You actually cross an huge antique safe door to enter the hostel. You get the classy restaurants and boutique shops in the lounge of the building, which the hostel shares with a proper expensive hotel. Same with...

Downtown Beds was number 5 on our list of Grupo Habita accommodations. It’s their one and only hostel, and a good option if you’re looking to get a taste of the boutique style for a lower fare. It’s located in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Mexico City—here you can find several open courtyards with green spaces, little...
