Location, staff.. Tours ! Amazing building too.. Beautiful and very secure and safe. So many street food joints and restaurants around.
No charging points near the bed. Very inconvenient.
Good breakfast. There is a computer station with few computers.
I liked the facilities, and the people there are pretty cool. The food for breakfast, although simple, was pretty good! I would have liked better WiFi and more common sitting areas. I'm staying here again on my next trip to Mexico City.

Cheap hostel extremely near to the city center. Good choice if you are not squeamish and you want to be on budget. It offers big rooms with castle beds and a considerable number of weirdos. Noisy. Staff 5/5 Location 5/5 Breakfast 3/5 Bed 2/5 WiFi...More
Mexico City Hostel is a great little place. Although not super fancy it is safe, clean (very important) and is in a great location. I've stayed here a few times and have never had any issues. The staff are good, the breakfasts tasty and again,...More
The beating heart of the city lies within Centro Histórico, the vast expanse of historical buildings and monuments that are a must when exploring Mexico City. Places such as the Museo Biblioteca Palacio Postal, Casa de los Azulejos and Palacio de Bellas Artes are the perfect eye candy for anyone seeking to admire arts and architecture. Don't forget to visit the wide variety of markets and plazas where any
vintage item, handicrafts and jewelry characteristic of each state in Mexico can be found on Sundays. Admire majestic views of the city from the Monumento a la Revolución and Torre Latinoamericana, and round out the experience with restaurants of all cuisines nearby.

Oops, 6 months later and I see the question. Sorry!
It was about 20min or so. We took a taxi that we booked at the hotel. He was really awesome, and knew a lot about the city. Do's and don'ts of the area.
