Offering the feeling of a traditional Mexican house, this Hotel has 7 units around a courtyard full of greenery. Each unit has its own kitchen and bed/ bathroom but there is a shared patio which permits exchanges with other travellers. The location can't be beat as it is opposite the Ethnobotanical Garden, and next to EX-Convento Santo Domingo. Every evening...

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were close to everything which meant we could go out and explore and then return for a brief rest before going out again. Loved having a refrigerator and kitchen even if we did not actually cook. It was nice to be able to fix a light breakfast and keep our sodas cold....

We are a mature couple who stayed here in a one bedroom apartment for 1 month. Communications before we even arrived, were easy and friendly. On arrival our hosts, Rosa (oldest sister), Luis (next oldest brother) were very welcoming and helpful. Their youngest sister speaks excellent English and handled much of our check in. The apt was spacious with an...

This is our second year renting an apartment here, and we could not be happier. All seven apartments have the same layout, a kitchen/living/dining area on the first floor, and bedroom/bath on the second. There's also a nice patio to share with the other guests, as well as a beautiful roof deck with view of the surrounding city and mountains,...

My wife and I did not expect to stay here. But we are so glad that we did! This place was AMAZING, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Long story short: we had booked with another B&B, but they were unresponsive to some last-minute requests and we had to cancel our reservation. The nice ladies at Casa...

We just returned from Oaxaca. What a charming place!. We rented the two level casita at Casa de Abuelos. It was great as we could make our own breakfast every morning. and there was a frig to store our beer and soda. The staff was extremely helpful. I love that there was a fan in the upstairs bedroom and with...

I stayed at La casa de los Abuelos for 6 weeks last summer. Every part of my experience was wonderful! The location really can't be beat and the rooms are lovely, clean, and well-maintained. I loved having my own little apartment so that I could cook my own meals and save some money while traveling abroad. The owners are very...

We were only able to stay at Casa de los Abuelos for 3 nights, but would definitely return for a longer visit. Our 2 story unit at the back was quiet, spotless, and well-equipped. Loved the decoration and homey feeling of our apartment. We only prepared breakfasts there, because there wasn't time to invest in serious cooking. But had we...

This place has a number of suites opening on to a small courtyard. The suites provide sleeping on a second floor above a ground level where there is a kitchen, a stable and some seating and which opens out to the court. The hosts are exceedingly friendly and helpful. There is, as well a pleasant, friendly dynamic established amongst the...

“The larger rooms are not that much more expensive and you get a much nicer space! Also, be sure to check out the roof top balcony! It's a great place to enjoy a cold beer in the evening!”

“a two storey suite rather than a room without a kitchen, the more modern suites at the back might be quieter.”

“This is not your exclusive hotel - you do know that you are in Mexico, and so this would not suit someone who likes luxury.”
