This is everything I got for almost $50 per night. A bed, a roll of toilet paper, a hand soap. Anything else you need to buy it yourself. Like soap, shampoo. They even charge for sheets and towel. The city view they listed on booking is your neighbor’s bedroom view or hallway where ppl walking back and forth. I have to keep both windows and curtains closed the whole time. And there’s no vent or ac in the room. Horrible! RUN!

I spent a week at Paulina Hostel, and was very happy with my stay. I stayed in a private room with a shared bath. The room was large, with lots of furniture storage for my stuff. Breakfast is included, and every day the cook made me eggs and toast, with juice, fruit, and yogurt. There is 24 hour reception. My room had no air conditioning, but I had a great ceiling fan and a window that allowed me to ventilate the room during the cool evenings, Sturdy security bars on the window had me sleeping peacefully with the fresh air all night. The hostel is conveniently located in the Centro area of Oaxaca city, and known to almost all of the drivers I interacted with. There are two downsides to this hostel. First, Centro is noisy almost all the time. My first floor room was right on a busy street, and the noise could be intense. If you need quiet, this may not be the place for you. Second, the only drinking water available is small bottles in the vending machine, sold for 7 pesos. The price isn't outrageous, it's just a pain to get them over and over again. Plan to go up to the convenience store two blocks away and purchase larger bottles. Be advised there is no common kitchen, so you won't find a bunch of non-native travelers to hang out with here, except perhaps at breakfast. If you are seeking a more classic European backpacker hostel vibe, this may not be your place.…

I spent a few nights here and, whilst the rooms are clean and quiet enough, I found the hostel a little sterile and officious. During my stay, 2 out of 3 of the toilets were out of service on the ground floor and the light in the bathroom, which is on a timed movement switch, would frequently time out whilst you were still in the bathroom. They also do not allow use of the kitchen. The location, near the zocalo, is excellent. All in all, a functional place to stay but do not expect much atmosphere.

Went to the one day festival in Oaxaca city, and that was a great experience. The dancing, music, and wonderful food. Don't let the name of this place fool you. It is new, clean, and a great location. The private rooms are large, with fans, and the beds are very comfortable. the staff is very friendly and helpful with things in and around the city. It is located 2 blocks from the Zocalo, or main square, and walking is the mode of transportation. All of this with a nice breakfast included for under $20 a night. For families, they have dorm style rooms with 4plus beds for under $10. A bargain in any country.

I recommend hesitating giving your credit card to this business. I paid in full the morning I checked out with cash, which was witnessed by a friend. A month later I saw the same charge billed on my credit card statement - meaning they charged me twice. I got no response when I contacted them about this. Really uncool. I will not stay here again.

I spent three nights there and really felt comfortable there. Very quiete, refreshing place, very clean and a good breakfast included. If u are looking for a party hostal, it's not recommendable. If you are looking for a nice and comfortable place to rest after a long day walking around in oaxaca, go there!

Pros - kind and amable staffs - great location easy access to zona centro - A clean bed - great arrangement of architecture - breakfast included Cons - shower... Rusty. And you have to come out every two minutes to make sure that the light is not turned off and they don't have a little shelve that you can put your goodies on. - in each dormitory room, there are only two electrical plugs. And those are far from your bed.

I really liked the location of Paulina. This hostel is located near the Zocalo. It's one of the best options that you have. Friendly staff who gave me lots of info about what to do in the area. If you like meeting others travelers, you'll have a great time here

I went on a mission trip many years ago here and had no complaints about staying here. The cost of the rooms and amenities was very affordable and was secure. Enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and wonderful location in the town for our needs.
