I liked the location of the hotel, including the beautiful arquitecture and design very rustic, which I loved. The only one main thing that I had issue with was the bedding, I had a couple rough nights to fall asleep because I couldn't go to sleep of how hard the bed was. That's my only complaint

During the month of Feburary my husband and I spent 9 days visiting the City of Oaxaca. We were fortunate to have booked our lodging at Casa de Frailes. The location was perfect and the room was great. We had our own patio and minifrig which was great to keep our water chilled and my husband's beers cold! We really...

We have travelled a great deal and stayed at some wonderful properties. We rate Casa de Los Frailes among the very best experiences we've had. The location was perfect, the facilities top notch and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff quite extraordinary. If one day we chance to return to Oaxaca, there's no way we would stay anywhere else than at...

We spent a pleasant week in a standard double room at Casa de los Frailes. This small hotel is located perfectly for the walking tourist in a close-in but quiet section of Oaxaca. And we walked everywhere, except to Monte Alban. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, and an English speaker was on duty every time we needed someone....

We spent 10 nights here in early December. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Alejandro was exceptionally helpful, especially in the recovery of a lost wallet. We were in room 102 on the ground floor directly in front of the reception desk. Perfect for us with limited mobility, though some people might find it too noisy. We had both...

Our large room was located on the street level and french window opened on to the street. There were two double beds. There was a portrait of Our Lady of Solitude, the patroness of Oaxaca in the room. The central location was great -- nearby restaurants, shops, churches and museums.

We just spent 10 days at this delightful hotel while taking a cooking course and enjoying the pageantry of the Dia de Muertos celebrations. We could not have been more pleased. The building is charming with rooms opening onto terraces and with a beautiful decor in accordance with the name (House of the Monks). The rooms are spacious and comfortable...

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel in March. I decided to book a king room with a private little patio. Room was nice and very clean, decorated with Mexican hand crafts and nice details. You can find a mini bar (empty and unplugged)an a microwave that we didn't use. The bed is a king size, not the most...
