Pros: Nice rooms, quiet, professional feel, excellent included breakfast, good room cleaning, 5-gallon tanks of drinking water (garafones) on each floor. Great location a block from the Zocalo and surrounded by very nice markets (food, local crafts, household needs). Cons: Not one person there ever showed the slightest bit of friendliness. Perhaps they're told to be stand-offish. When prompted, they... More

Our week at hotel trebol was excellent. The rooms and courtyards are very clean and well maintained. Location, across the road from the Benito Juarez market, and a block away from the zocala. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet room, we were completely undisturbed by any street noise. The breakfast is a bonus and the adjoining coffee shop put... More

Hotel Trebol is located next to the Mercado Benito Juarez, and just south of the Zocalo. The staff members were all very helpful, and the rooms in the back are quiet. I originally booked an air conditioned room facing the market, but the noise was too loud. The double room I moved to was sunny, quiet, and clean. The breakfasts... More

Stayed in Oaxaca during the Day of the Dead celebrations. Hotel was fabulous - a beautifully modernised old colonial building with a peaceful central patio. Rooms were nicely furnished - retaining old-fashioned charm but bang up to date with facilities. Free wi-fi in rooms and reception area. Free, secure parking is offered - it is about a 5 minute walk... More

First time at this establishment and are very impressed: central location opposite market but extremely calm inside. Helpful personnel, great colonial structure and very clean. Good price value relation. Only possible negative the mini TV sets.

Not that easy to find with the one way street system. It's very well located even if the parking is a few blocks away there is a drop off point outside the hotel. Housekeeping is as good as it gets. Nice Lobby area to sit and chat. Free breakfast with scrambled eggs, fruit and toast. No air conditioning in my... More

This hotel was perfect. As a solo traveler this hotel exceeded my expectations. I felt very safe, it was clean, location was ideal, complimentary breakfast was delicious and the price can't be beaten.

This hotel is good value and in an excellent location. No car needed while staying here , although a complementary park is available about 2 1/2 blocks away . Staff are great and breakfast is sufficient.. Very easy to navigate around from here and security is both good in the hotel and meandering around at night outside the hotel... The... More

We booked for two nights through Expedia, and were so pleased with the room, hotel and location we booked another three noches ( I am getting into the swing of things after 4 weeks in Mexico.) We read the mixed reviews on Tripadvisor; the water is hot after 4pm, the breakfasts are good Continental style, except that the coffee is... More
