Hotel Casa Vertiz was a perfect choice for our visit to Oaxaca. The location was perfect, the guest rooms were spacious and comfortable (I recommend the second floor with the wonderful skylights in the bathrooms). Front desk and restaurant personnel were helpful and very efficient.
That evening it started to rain and we could not use an open air roof top restaurant, our preference.

Charming, relaxing, great staff, hard beds. I would definitely stay here again. A bit out of the central shopping area, but worth it for the quiet. However, nothing is terribly far from central shopping, everything is walking distance.

No elevator but there are rooms on the first floor. My husband would go to the rooftop terrace to smoke. He never smokes in the room just by practice so am not sure that it is a rule. Great central place to stay.
