I have stayed at Bela’s 3 times, for a total of 2 months. Located within an easy walk of the zocalo and main shopping and museum district of San Cristóbal, Bela’s in the best B&B I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in B&B’ a multitude of times in several countries). Bela instantly makes her guests feel at home and...

Comfortable and welcoming, peaceful and relaxing and in a quiet location yet only steps away from restaurants, the Textile Museum, and wonderful craft markets and shops. Super helpful staff and host went out of their way to make us feel completely at home. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the garden is a delight. Our mantra was "Ask Bela." She knows...

I just sat down to write my review of Bela's when I read the recent nasty review that was just posted. Our experience was the exact opposite. As soon as we arrived at Bela's for a 5-night stay in late-January, we felt welcomed and at home (it is a block away from the Templo de Santo Domingo, one of the...

Cozy and friendly, great staff. Our room was comfy, with heat + heated blankets for January nights, plenty of hot water + purified drinking water. Cleaning every day. Balcony with great view. Generous breakfast, hearty lunch (for an extra fee), innkeeper Bela is fun, likes to get to know guests, fusses over people. Staff are an extended family, very welcoming...

We had a very late flight and Bela arranged a driver to pick us up and waited until midnight to tuck us into our charming accommodation. Our room, like all the others faced out to a spectacular garden. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and very fresh. We also stayed for several lunches that were equally as good. It was hard...

Staying at Bela’s was unlike any travel experience I have ever had. Bela is one of the kindest and warmest people I have ever met, and her beautiful place far exceeded my expectations and my family’s in terms of location, comfort and amazing food. We met amazing people there and she made me feel like a member of her own...

If you don’t like dogs, want to watch TV in your room and enjoy meaty breakfasts then this place is not for you. I loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and very tastefully furnished. Bela’s place is an oasis of tranquilty in the heart of noisy, bustling San Cristobal. Bela’s intelligence, charm and generosity made my stay here very...

This is a luxury experience while visiting San Cristobal! Bela can hook you up with local information, sights, restaurants to visit and the B&B is a block from the Central Mercado and easy walking distance to the vast majority of in-town sights (taxis are abundant and easy to find as well). Very cozy and wonderfully decorated space, cute well behaved...
