We spent 4 nights in Taxco - beautiful town with narrow cobblestone streets built into the hillside. Safe and well taken care of in this hotel with prime location. Very good Resturant on property. Some (modest) Spanish language skills are required to enjoy your stay in this hotel and in Taxco in general.

This is a beautiful colonial, rustic, traditional hotel, where you can stay and have a great relax time, with almost everything in a walk-able distance and with the gratest staff. If you are going to Taxco for the weekend, this is the option. Dont forget to enjoy the Sunday buffet for less than 7 dlls (full really tasty one).

You KNOW you're in Mexico when you stay at this wonderful hotel with its architecture and decor steeped in Mexican culture. Someone took great care to charm its visitors with lovely old Spanish accents and beautiful gardens. Our double room was spacious with a sparkling clean en suite bathroom and all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay....

We loved our hotel. It was gorgeous and very relaxing. Spacious rooms. Location was perfect, but the street dogs laying in the entrance give this hotel a bad aspect. It's unwelcoming and feels unclean even though its kept up well.

Very cosy hotel and the location is great since it is only a block away from the center. I would suggest the hotel to make better use of that terrace and the fact that the parking lot is not at the hotel is a bit of a drawback. Otherwise we enjoyed our time in the hotel and we would definitely...

Charming hotel with gorgeous interior, spacious rooms and overall great atmosphere. On-site restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Charged all our things at the receptions as the sockets were not working in our rooms. Breakfast that came with the booking a bit disappointing. Overall a good choice.

We loved the Hotel Arcos. The location is the best. Smack in the heart of town, you can walk everywhere you need to go in Taxco. If you have a car as we did, they will arrange for you to park it in a multi-story parking lot a couple of blocks away at a discounted price (60 pesos per day)....

Location is perfect on a side street just 2-3 blocks from the main plaza (where most of the other hotels are) which can get quite noisy. Beautiful old building, large charming courtyard and spacious rustically decorated rooms without a/c but 2 opposite windows providing excellent ventilation. Ours faced the street so was a bit noisy until about midnight but otherwise...

So we read the other reviews and they were NOT exaggerating. The hotel is stunningly beautiful - open courtyard wrapped around a majestic tree. One reviewer emphasized the stairs and long climbs, but we're not young or terribly athletic and they were fine. The front desk staff were happy to help carry up luggage and eager to assist in all...

One of the highlights of our 10 nights in Mexico was Los Arcos. I can't even describe how beautiful and unique the hotel was. Updated hotel built in 1572 was incredibly romantic with it's center courtyard and little, private nooks to explore. Our favorite was the huge rooftop terrace with views of cathedrals, red tiled roofs and the mountains. We...
