In a time when service has fallen off a cliff in the United States, it's always nice to know that you can take a vacation to a beautiful place like Cancun and be treated with a level of service that seemed to be extinct back home. The Ritz Carlton may be an older hotel, but it makes up for that with its old-world attention to detail and service. It is a bit of a throwback to how grand hotels used to be, of course, it has all the modern touches you need, but it is classic in its setup, feel, and decor. We stayed in an oceanfront suite, which had an additional half bath, living room, and massive dining room, as well as a long balcony that ran the width of the suite, and an additional smaller balcony off the Master. The room was very spacious and comfortable, but as anyone who's stayed at a Ritz Carlton knows, the brand shines when it comes to service, and the one in Cancun lives up to that reputation. The housekeeping, the waiters in the restaurants, the waiters at the beach, the valets, the front desk staff, everyone is there to make sure you want for nothing and can simply relax and enjoy your time, as it should be. Additionally, all of the food we had was terrific. If you are looking for an elegant vacation experience where you are truly taken care of then I completely recommend the Ritz Cancun

This is our second time and we enjoyed it every single minute. The only reason I gave 5 STARS because of service and food and beverages program. I hope ownership and management understand that people stay at Cancun Ritz because of the hotel employees. We had wonderful stay for a week, and I want to give five star for Joselyn at Front Desk, David and Ulysses at pool, and biggest thank you to our server Angel. Hotel it’s self run down badly and needs overdue renovation. From beaten up funiture in the room, ripped bed frames to run down carpet and everything just simply look old. However, whenever they do renovation I hope they keep historical details and charm of 30 plus building. We will definitely be back!

Thank you Ritz Carlton staff for making our trip so nice. It rained 2 out of the 5 days but we had a great time ordering room service which was excellent. Fine dining was a wonderful experience, food, service was all exceptional. The pool villa was worth it! Hardwood floors, great food and drinks. They even bring you a cold towel to cool down and ice pops randomly during the day. Roman at the pool, Itzel at the lounge and all of the servers at Fontina were fabulous. Miguel, the concierge helped us with airport transfers and the front desk was also very personable, polite and kind. The in house Covid tests were also effortless and so convenient! Thank you for a great experience.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was as expected: clean and fresh with fresh flowers. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The club lounge was nice, staff there were wonderful and the food was good. Overall our stay was fine but not quite up to a normal Ritz experience. Club check in went smoothly but nothing spectacular - no welcome drinks or hotel hats and the gentleman appeared very indifferent to us. When I inquired about on site restaurants and reservations I was directed to go down the hall to look at a sheet of paper on a table and scan restaurant codes in. As we had three people we paid the extra nightly fee for the third person yet never received amenities for 3 (such as 3 water bottles or slippers) despite two polite requests with tips at the club front and leaving daily room tips. We were celebrating 3 birthdays which I had advised the hotel of and they very kindly had beautiful personalized birthday desserts waiting in our room- but again only for 2 of us. The 3rd person whose birthday we were also celebrating was left out. The beach was beautiful and pool service staff were great. We had a wonderful time overall as we were on holiday in a beautiful place and having fun. Nothing was worth complaining about- but it just was not on par with other Ritz experiences we have had.

Beautiful hotel & beach with very attentive staff; however after midnight there is no security in the pool area and they allow trespassing of intoxicated people in the hot tub....waking us up with their loud voices the past 2 night around 12:30am. We were on the top floor with our windows closed. We had to call security who told us the pool area closes at 11pm. Can 't believe it happened the 2nd night!!
