I would also like to acknowledge Karina García oliva for taking care of me during my stay. It’s an old hotel, well kept, with very friendly staff and a lovely and quiet beach. My family stayed at this resort for several days with a few other families/friends and had an amazing time. What made it great was a clean, spacious, and amenity filled resort but more importantly the service from the staff. We spent a lot of time at the pool and the staff at that Brisas Bar was top notch. Manuel Escalante, Lorenzo, Fernando, and Juan not only kept our drinks and belly’s full but they were super friendly with our kids with smoothies and snacks! They made it memorable. Also Claudia in the kids center was great. One of our kids needed to be pulled FROM the kids center after loving their time with Ms. Claudia and the activities they did that day. Cannot speak enough about the staff and service here. Our friends and I are already planning another date next year. I’m confident you’ll enjoy it here with family and/or friends.…

We are 2 families who booked via booking.com (don't know if that affects the hotel service standards to us)... We had multiple times requested for adjoining rooms or close by rooms. Inspite of that were given rooms that were 10 rooms apart... When we checked in & saw 2 bottles of water only for 4 of us, we asked the bell boy who dropped the bags who said - oh don't worry, tell the front desk and they will deliver more to you. When at dinner time I went to don't desk to request for the bottles, the funny desk said - sure we will send in 2 extra... Nothing came for 2 hours and when I went down again to ask, the same front desk guy again said- oh sorry, getting them to send you shortly.. after 30 mins of wait, i called again... And this time the same front desk guy says - your plan asked only 2 bottles of water and go for yourself and purchase from the store at level 1! When I told him, they could have told me this in the first instance and not at 11 pm in the night after making me wait for 3 hours, he very rudely said it's as per your plan, you go buy. Still couldn't understand why then through the day they would tell me otherwise... While the hotel exteriors are well maintained, the rooms (we are in lagoon facing one) have serious furniture issues. Wardrobe hinges are coming off. There is just 1 chair. No table. no dresser. The tv unit console drawers are misaligned. The widow railings have started showing some wear and tear and need upkeep. The beach in front of the hotel - you cannot swim because of it being full of sea weed. I wouldn't recommend this place. Yes, might be cheaper than others on this street primarily because of the beach not being great... And also hence the room upkeep issues. But the service standard and attitude is the biggest letdown.…

We arrived at night so really couldn’t see the pools and where the activities took place. Well come morning we were greeted by smiling friendly faces of the Westin staff. They were excited to tell us about all the planned activities throughout the day. Never thought I’d actually get my teenage daughter to join in the fun, but everyone was so welcoming she felt very comfortable! My husband and I particularly enjoyed the shrimp ceviche cooking class, right at the pool! We also enjoyed the water workouts, so much fun! To top it off, they held a margarita making class, wow so much fun (and tasty!) They even went out of their way to make non-alcoholic version for the kids! I loved that all activities were right at the pool, close enough to grab a drink or snacks in between the schedule of activities. The room had a beautiful ocean view and the food at the resort was delicious, especially at the Arena Sports Bar and our server Jesus Martinez provided us with excellent service. Kassandra at the front desk also provided us with great service and was very kind and helped us plan out our trips. We are very satisfied with our experience at the resort and plan on returning soon.

I booked this resort last year after receiving a call from Westin. I was assured it wasn't one of those timeshare deals. I arrived and while it was not "mandatory" they pressure you to book the timeshare presentation. Oddly enough, the actual presentation was not a high-pressure situation. The Room (2/5): the room is getting 2 stars because of the beautiful view we received in room 1145. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. The shower was so small and filthy from years of grime/build up. The linens were white but upon closer inspection, stained and discolored. The food (2/5): there's not too many nearby options. We ended up at the overpriced sports bar twice. The service was really slow and the food was mediocre. The service (2/5): the One (transportation company onsite) tried to overcharge me for $30 (US) when I had an email advising what the price would be. When checking out, the clerk misapplied a $75 gift certificate to my balance by only applying $25 at first. No apology but he eventually fixed it. Do NOT go to the souvenir shop & ask for change for 200 pesos because the elderly man will have a nasty attitude for you asking a yes or no question. Also, do not expect assistance with your bags...ever.…

We played Bingo with Luis and won a wonderful massage with Lilly. We attended a cooking class with Ana. We had delicious ceviche. The room was very large and very clean. The bed was so comfortable. The views were beautiful and the beach was fabulous!
