We were happy with the size and cleanliness of the timeshare suite. Beach and pool areas were nice. Good restaurants. Two on-site convenience stores. Easy access to the buses that run everywhere. Be sure to check out the Seahorse cafe - a small mexican restaurant and sports bar near the Riu Palace - great value and atmosphere. For a great...

While we were at the Casa Maya for a few weeks in January and early Feb using our timeshare we heard that a couple had dropped off their clothes at the on-site laundry. Upon checking their clean clothes they found a bathing suit top, a bunch of men's underwear and a shirt were missing. The laundry person said that they...

We were at the Casa Maya in January 2 different weeks and we were at 3 other resorts. I thought the staff was outstanding remembered names and wanting to do whatever we needed to be comfortable. Love the Mexican bingo at the pool as he helped me with the language. We also played darts, beach volleyball and the like. The...

All the reviews were on target...strong pressure to buy a timeshare...and your room selection is based on wheather or not you listen to the presentation! The beds were as hard as a rock along with the pillows. Only 2 TV stations in English, food was at best average, Sliding door did not lock, the coffee maker was one that was...

We stayed there for 7 nights in January in a 1 bedroom with kitchenette. We found the accomodations a little outdated but nice. We had a great time and ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did go to the time share presentation and we were up front from the beginning that we were not interested in purchasing...

Great location--away from hotel row but a short bus ride. The 1-bdrm unit was spacious but the furniture was disappointly drab & not updated--the TV was not a flat screen! Not much reception except in Spanish stations. Tile floors throughout & very clean units. The salespeople are relentless..hound you to view presentation. The only down side of the place. The...

After travelling for the past 20 years and doing lots of 5 star all inclusives, we decided to try a few condo/timeshares. Caya Maya is fantastic. The location is perfect - close to town, very quiet huge beach area, large rooms (we have an Elite Ambassador 1 bedroom that sleeps 6), very clean complex including gym and pools. The staff...

The front desk staff is unhelpful. Mattresses are hard and thin. Food was horrible with exception of basic fare ( good guacamole) from bar. The dinner fare was nothing more than terrible. Stomach issues every time we ate here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Couldn't pay me to stay here again.

We booked a room at the Casa Maya using an RCI timeshare transfer. The room itself was subpar - very firm beds, loud air conditioner, and kitchen facilities barely worth speaking of - just a microwave, an iffy toaster, and a mini-fridge. The only sink in the room was in the bathroom, so to do dishes you had to carry...

This is our 2nd trip to Casa Maya-We are members of RCI and traveled here 8 yrs ago. The resort is in need of improvements and some remodeling was going on during our visit which was loud. The music at the pool was never loud enough to drown out the construction and you could not hear the music on the...
