Have been here 2004 (pre-Wilma), 2006 (1month after reopening), 2008, 2009 & 2010. This year was by far the slowest. Not nearly as many buses, people, tourists, workers etc. The place was still extremely clean but not like years past where workers are everywhere cleaning all the time. I'd guess their workforce has dropped at least 25% since 2008. The...

We just got back from our second stay at the Park Royal. The reviews here are pretty much "spot on." This is a great "middle of the road" hotel that doesn't cost a lot. The clientele is "babies to 80's." Some kids, lots of older folks and everything in-between. The hotel is meticulously cleaned (it's spotless - all the time)....

I went on this trip and shared a Suite with parents, sister and two nieces (6 and 10). I thought the hotel was very nice. We didn't have any problems at all. My complaints are the pillows were hard and the pools were cold but the ocean was warm and the beach was really great. We ate at the buffet...

Apparently, there are two Park Royal hotels in Cancun. When we arrived they said not to let the taxi leave until they confirmed we were at the correct hotel. The address for the one we stayed at is Blvd Kukulkan, Km 12.5, Zona Hotelera, Cancun, MX, MX, 77500. My husband and I stayed at the Park Royal for two nights...

My boyfriend and I traveled to Cancun from 12/28 to 12/31. After researching a number of all-inclusive hotels and packages, the price was right for the Park Royal. Overall, we were satisfied with our travel experience; however, we would most likely not stay at this resort again for several reasons [already listed in many of the reviews]. 1. Room temperature...

We stayed here for eight nights. The first night we stayed in a partial view standard room. Yes the window do not open. The next night we went to another building to an Ambassdor Room and we looked at the Presidental Suite and we paid the extra $40 for it for the next 7 nights. . It was well worth...

We travel to Mexico for all of our vacations. This was our first trip to Cancun. The PR Cancun is the worst resort we have ever stayed at. NO ocean view, no balcony, can't open the windows, beds, pillows as hard as rocks, poor plumbing ( hard to take a shower) . The accomodations were terrible. And unless you get...

Thermostats in rooms STILL DON'T WORK [see Sandra W comment, July 2009]. Rooms are cold, can't adjust temperature at all - thermostats are to this date NOT- functioning, useless. Management still doesn't get it and think I was being unreasonable. Really! That's like a 2 star motel. You can not adjust temperature, makes no difference -- just keeps on blowing...

This a very good 3+ star hotel. The hotel and the rooms and everywhere was extremely clean. The food at the restaurants (all inclusive package) was excellent. The service at the restaurants was always beyond expectations. Even though the hotels tells you that the tips are already included in your package, we tiped the wait staff at every meal because...

“This was the worse experience of my travel history. I have travelled extensively. Sophia was the worse person to deal with. It was so bad that I checked out of the hotel and went to the Westin. The next day manager Jose was no better. If he could not accommodate he could have been more kind. He did not show any customer service, graciousness or concern for me as a customer. I've been a manager and that is not how you treat irate CustomerS. I email d and spoke with the report to insure my stay would not be filled with upgrades, and insufficient accommodations. When I arrived I received a room that was opposite of my request, no ocenview even though I paid for an uograde. Sophia was less than nice, she blew me off and told me to call in the am. My room had two double beds, my wife and I have been married for 24 years, we've never had to sleep in double beds. This was the worse travel experience but in my life. I'm concerned that Royal Holiday has become so large that people don't matter anymote. The sheer disregard for a person like me that spent countless hours trying to insure that my travel is cperience was excellent. I was let down with no compensation or correction of the problem. Not to mention that when I arrived the lights in my room did not work. I'm appalled that I was handled in this manner. I'm not sure where this organization is going but down would be the dire tiom that I see. ”
