Returning to El Rey del Caribe for a second visit, I brought my sister with me this time, and she was as impressed as I. She spent long hours in a hammock by the pool, reading a book or watching the birds and lizards who visited the garden, or exploring the residential neighborhood nearby. (Meanwhile, I was having extensive dental...

I stayed here with my family for 9 nights beginning on March 9, 2017. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and safe. There is an actual safe in the room but you need to bring a padlock to secure it. The pool is small...

Absolutely perfect get-away from everything, including the tourist trap of the hotel zone. This hotel feels like it's someone's life-long dream, with inch-thick vines that have clearly been trained over years and years to cover support beams so your hammock feels like it's in the middle of the jungle. Lush, beautiful, and so peaceful. Staff speaks English well enough, but...

Thank you very much for your comment. We remind you that the nesting season for sea turtles is from mid-May to mid-September, as is the visit to our coastal whale shark, the largest fish in the world, both incredibly incredible. The botanical garden of Puerto Morelos can see spider monkeys in their free habitat, do not miss it. It is...

So I flew into Cancun at the worst time - 2nd January, between the New Year and the start of a massive festival - oops! Standing in Cancun Airport I was desperate for a reasonable and decent hotel, so although this one felt a little pricey at around US$100 I booked it. When I arrived I wasn't sure - the...

We thank you very much for your comment. We want to remind you that the sea turtle nesting season is from mid-May to mid-September, just like the visit to our shark-whale shores, the biggest fish in the world, both incredibly amazing. It is good that you know that when they book with 30.60, or 90 days in advance they get...

We stayed 2 nights in room 7 and discovered at 5:30am that the staff set up for breakfast early. They only serve breakfast so the tables and chairs are stacked for the day until the following morning. Given the small size of the hotel it was amazing to experience the amount and length of noise given over to a simple...

Thank you and we remind you that if you buy 30,60 or 90 days in advance you will receive great discounts. Sincerely EduardoRH Gerenet

This hotel is an oasis in the middle of the ugliest city- my opinion. The service is friendly and fast, the rooms are spacious and clean. I suggest the 2nd floor rooms as the rooms on the main floor have windows on the main street: noisy with tremendous traffic. The garden with swimming pool, fountains and hammocks has lots of...

The price is very fair. The staff is most friendly. The ambience of this hotel is excellent. The best part about the hotel was the bed. The beds at this hotel were very good. I don't know a lot about downtown hotels, but if you want to stay downtown, this place does the trick.

Thank you very much for your comment, this helps us a lot. We would like to remind you that in addition to staying at the Eco-Hotel El Rey Del Caribe you can easily visit the Botanical Garden of Puerto Morelos, where around 14hrs and until 16hrs you can easily see families of spider monkeys released in their habitat natural. We were charmed as we entered..... "wow!" We both said." This is something else". Not your average inn. Pros: comfortable king bed, good room size with table and two chairs, large size shower with 2 windows. Nice hot shower. Eco-toilette and great water management plans. Super AC. Wifi very strong. Cons: not enough light in rooms, could use more hangars....

This hotel was a charming surprise. Located in the middle of downtown Cancun, it offers a jungle courtyard, making you feel as though you're miles from an urban center. The staff was courteous and helpful. The included breakfast featured many selections, and you could have any or all of them. Great location. The room was clean and adequately comfortable.
