When I first read the reviews I was very excited to have booked this hotel I never experienced racism to its finast until I stepped foot in this hotel. I have worked in the hotel industry over 22 years and stayed in numerous hotel and was very outdone of the events that had occurred. First of all I was waiting in line to check-in the hotel .the reservationist completely ignored me and thought it was ok to take the guy that was after me. The guest told her I was in line first! (Even tho she knew this ) so she decided to take me and didn't even apologize. Now since I was early I couldn't check in, so I go back around 230 and notice they brought out drinks to some guest that was checking in. I assumed it was champagne and never one time did they offer me a glass. I know the guest didn't order it because one of the guest declined to take it. Now moving on I was locked out my room at least THREE times and they could never give a valid reason for that. One evening we decided to go get something from one restaurant since it was getting late and my friend ask can she take a to go box instead. The guy told her she couldn't . so we get our food and sit down not even 2 minutes later I see a Caucasian male walk right out the door with a TO - GO box !!! 3rd night I come back after a long day from an excursion and get a call from my roomate stating she slipped and failed because the room was FLOODED !!!! . We were pretty much the only women of COLOR staying there but every time we come through the door they were harassing us for our room number. So after all the problems we had they still had the nerve to have us pay for a cabana that was giving to us complimentary for all the mishaps that have occurred. This is just my experience ,the other four ladies have there on encounter with the staff. Most of the staff were great but mostly management didn't seem to care. This hotel needs to work on DIVERSITY and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone especially people of COLOR.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our first all inclusive resort and it was amazing. The staff , starting with Manuel were extremely courteous and helpful. Sparkling wine was brought to us on check in. A welcome greeting after a long hot day of traveling. Our ocean view rooms had views from the front and back. The hotel staff came in twice daily for cleaning and turn down. Food was incredible all around. Maria Marie the gourmet Mexican restaurant is not to be missed. Diego was incredibly attentive as was our waiter the first evening there. Camilo, the hibachi chef at Asiana was extremely talented and the food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

We chose the Hyatt Zilara Cancun as our honeymoon destination and it did not disappoint. We stayed for a week, and it was still not enough time! Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling staff and a beautiful lobby with ocean views. Our room was decorated specific to a honeymoon stay, and we had chosen the Presidential Suite. There were roses and champagne for us to celebrate. We were texted every day by concierge with events happening and asking if we needed anything at all. The concierge was extremely helpful in booking transportation to and from the airport, reservations for specific onsite events, and help with any of our questions as needed. The spa was outstanding, we had 2 massages while at the resort and thoroughly enjoyed the hydrotherapy spa following our massages. I took an alchemy class with Zoe, who was so informative and kind. I learned so much about oils and was able to create some bath salts and a massage oil. We had done a chefs course meal, that was exquisite. Chef Karen whipped up a creative, beautiful, and delicious array of dishes for us. I had never felt so pampered at a dinner! We especially loved our beach cabana, and spent a majority of our time relaxing there. Some specific hotel staff we loved: Ricardo, Victor, Pedro, and Zoe at the spa. Highly recommend choosing this resort for your stay, and we cannot wait to return.

I would've gave 5 stars if I wasn't made to feel like a trespasser after my flight was delayed 3hrs. I've stayed at this hotel over 7 times in the past 10-15 years dating back to when it was the Royal. This is the 1st time I've felt insulted and unappreciated as a consistent patron when I needed hospitable accommodations for an issue outside of my control. I still give it 4 stars because of the overall experience was great. But the end of the trip will make me reconsider my next return.
