This is a lovely property with beautiful and comfortable accommodations and a very attentive and friendly staff in a prime location. Two years ago we stayed at the Mayaland property in Uxmal and were very pleased and Chichen Itza was no exception. Our meals in the a la carte restaurant were great and a special mention to Rogelio, Joaquin, and... More

We stayed in a superior suite. Had outside balcony which we didn't need as it was too hot. When we arrived we were told that the pizza restaurant and the other restaurant with a buffet served lunch till 5pm. When we went to the pizza place at 435pm we were told by the 3 staff there that they were closed.... More

We spent two very enjoyable days here. We had a room in the main building, it had a spacious balcony that overlooked the lush trees. The lunch buffet seemed endless, breakfast buffet was very good as well. A special thanks to Salomon at the front desk who was very helpful. We had been unable to procure tickets to the light... It's just great. Great position, a privileged view on Chichen Itza, fully immersed in the jungle, three swimming pool, one better than the other... the room was fully equipped, big and cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We paid more or less 100 euro for one night, which I think it is almost cheap for such a unique... More

We stayed here to visit the Maya ruins the next day. The hotel is perfectly located for this purpose as it is the only hotel with its own entrance to the archeological site right next to it. We booked a German speaking guide at the reception... Ingrid was the best guide we ever had. Truly outstanding! We were also very... More

Grand old hotel. A little worn, towels a little thin. Massage was good, and the wife enjoyed the choclate scrub. Great location on the edge of the ruins. Service was fantastic. A little pricey. Would stay here again if I got a deal. We made the mistake of not getting a guide. Ended up shoplifting info, directions and tips from... More

Simply the best location if you intend to visit the archeological site ; it has a private access back door (note that entry fee is substantial). Our room was enormous with 2 large comfortable beds, the bathroom magnificent with separate shower and spa bath - and huge window, overlooking the "Carecole" ! The restaurant is excellent, but a bit pricey... More

Best location for visiting the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza! Hotel has its own private entrance so you can beat the crowds and heat! Be sure to go back at night for the light and sound show on the main pyramid! The hotel will arrange tickets for you. From the hotel you can see the observatory and is only a... More

From Cancun to Chichen Itza, we had a choice between a bus ride from a multitude of tourist companies or renting a car. Each option had its PROs & CONs. Being on the bus meant no driving pressure in a foreign country but we would be subjected to the tight schedule & were advised we'd spend more time on the... More
