Awesome trip with my fiancé. Best island package. Charming, clean, 1000 feet from the beach, best downtown location, lovely bar across the street from isleño. Great restaurants, incredible experience, spent two weeks there!

To start we booked with Sidney Morris and he has since turned over ownership and operations to his son Rob and his Daughter Karen. We arrived Sidney was a very gracious host. He introduced us to home living on Isla as opposed to the standard hotel accommodations most of us are used to. It was at first somewhat dawnting but...

We spent February 2016 at Casa Isleno and absolutely loved it. The proprietors made us feel very welcome. The apartments are in a great location to the beaches, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and other amenities. We enjoyed many gorgeous sunrises while taking our morning walks along the Carribbean shore only a block from our apartment. We made plenty of use...

Casa Isleno (not to confuse with Hotel Isleno across the street) compares very favorably with other places we have stayed. The property is quite unique and we enjoyed staying in the unit which has a kitchenette. We...

Sadly, I didn't actually get to stay here. I had booked it and unfortunately had to cancel. Rob & Karyne were nothing but awesome dealing with all my questions about the place, sending me pictures and refunding my down payment promptly. Such a cute place in a great location. I will be staying here in the future.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Isleño has been not only our family home, but a self catering long term apartment home since we built the building in 1966. We've raised our families here and we're proud to have instilled the Island values and continue to live the Island Life. This building has a historical life and value that many can remember before the tourist boom in the 70's and 80's, but this was one of the first concrete buildings to be built in Downtown Centro. Casa Isleño sits on the quiet street of Av Guerrero neighboring the former hospital and directly across the street from the world famous watering hole, Pita Amore'. It's location is just walking distance to literally "everything" in Downtown Centro. Three blocks from one of the top 10 beaches in the world, Playa Norte. Less than one block to all the nightlife, restaurants & bars, grocery store and shopping on Hildago. At Casa Isleño we don't try to be something we are not. Never have and never will. We are not a hotel, we are not a B & B and frankly we are not a vacation home. We are self-catering long-term fully equipped apartment building with charm and history. We want this to be your home and not expect that this a hotel. Our managment is off site and can be reached at a moment's notice. Housekeeping available upon request (fees apply). We offer location, convenience, charm, comfort and simplistic surroundings, as they were in prior to the tourist boom when there were only sand streets, wood thatched buildings and when only fisherman and their families walked the streets. We call this home and we hope that you do to when you stay with us on this warm and magical Island. ... more   less

“AC is adaquate. Fridge is a bit small for extended stays but adequate as the store is around the corner. Water pressure is gravity feed so don't expect a blasting shower. Don't forget to NOT flush paper as the system on Isla isn't able to process it.”
