Excellent location, very clean, OK bed, cash deposits required for everything, VERY Unfriendly management, no frills. Nice pool, very Unfriendly staff at restaurant. Very noisy in the morning (kids, birds, cleaning crew...)

I first stayed at the Posada del Mar about 15 years ago, finding it a delightful budget hotel with a great location. The location is still good but the place has really run down. My room was dingy and poorly maintained (and quite small), the grounds were littered with cigarette butts, the Internet (lobby only) was on and off, and...

Was a basic room with excellent air conditioning. You are right on the main drag - so it can be a bit noisy - but not that bad. Nice pool and cabana with great bar tenders. We rented a golf cart and traveled the entire island - fit our needs fine - after spending most of our time at our...

Both couples thought this place was better than we expected after reading reviews on this site. We asked for 1st floor rooms but, they were all full. My friend has to have knee surgery soon and the three story climb was to much. I asked twice for a main floor rooms and on the second try we were given one...

This was my husband's and my fourth trip to Isla. Love the island and always have a great time. However, this hotel is need of renovations. While we did stay in the "newer" section, we had requested a first floor room. We were placed on the third floor. When we asked the front desk to change rooms, she said to...

We knew going in this was not a top hotel, as we don't spend much time in our rooms when we travel. Location was great, staff mediocre. Water was available in a cooler that wasn't cold next to the lobby. Bed was very comfy, and we had a decent view of the pool and gulf. Rooms were clean, but lots...

I have no idea how this place is rated 37 of 38 of specialty lodging. Whatever that means. It is not beachfront, and is across the non-busy street from the public beach. There are beach bars close to walk to the north on Playa Sol and Playa Norte that have beach chairs for customers. I spent very little time other...

This sprawling complex is in prime location in town on waterfront and a short walk from the ferry, large selection of restaurants, and the spectacular Playa Norte. Large swimming pool on grounds is a bit difficult to enter; breakfast(if included) is average at best; staff's language skills and kindness variable. But.....inexpensive. Rooms are adequate. Wi-fi is only in reception.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was a much better experience. In 2016 we stayed in the older section of the hotel. When we made the 2016 reservation we received a "free" upgrade to the new section of the hotel. We still ended up in the old section because that's what we paid for. This year...

First of all the hotel is not on the beach; across the street from the beach. And REMEMBER if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. The desk manager was so rude. I travel to Mexico (all over) at least 3 times a year for the last 10 years and I not sure why he hated us...
