The room was small but doable for us. It had a small fridge, ceiling fan and a/c that was great! The bed was comfy. Our room was bottom floor and doors opened up into a beautiful garden. Tv was a tad small but worked well so my husband was happy at bedtime. (Likes his sports or news).

We have been travelling around in Mexico for almost two weeks and this is the worst hotel for that price we have ever visited! The room is strongly run-down with stains on every wall. We can't close the shower and the towels and sheets are dirty.

We spent 12 days at the Francis Arlene. I have been traveling to Isla Mujeres and have stayed at a variety of hotels in various locations. Absolutely loved this place! Jerry and the staff were exceptional and fellow travelers added to the charm. We will be back!

We booked thru expedia but upon arrival the hotel had no record of our reservation. Several other reviews mention this problem too. They were able to give us a room. This is a rustic basic bare bones hotel in a great location. The water bubbler is nice but the rooms are very old and need updating. Light bulbs in the...

Stayed at Francis Arlene Feb 21 - Mar 1, 2016. Booked on-line with request to pay ( in pesos) with 1/2 on check-in and remainder after the first 4 days ( this to ensure I wasn't stuck full time in a hotel I didn't like ) - that request was granted by the friendly mgr.Rolando who even asked if I'd...

22 out of 24 days on the island I was able to spend in the water. The hotel is a perfect location for both the windy side and Playa de Norte. Close to everything, but quiet at night. Wonderful opportunities to practice Spanish with the lovely, helpful and happy staff. I go every year, and wouldn't think about staying anywhere...

Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The WiFi is only in the public areas but it's pretty good speed wise. This is our second stay in about three years. Our favorite rooms are on the top floor with an adjoining large rooftop deck. Very peaceful but close to all of Isla's action.
