I was visiting Merida for an awareness trip I took with unbound and this Hotel is where they selected for us to stay. I was not sure what to expect but was not really worried after reading the other reviews. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a very nice, clean and spacious room. There was both hot and cold...

I have stayed here on 3 different trips. The rooms are spacious. The layout of the hotel feels very intimate & cozy. The staff is OUTSTANDING! We have had a different room configuration on each trip, but have always been happy. The pool area is lovely. Housekeeping does a great job. The wifi can be a little spotty the further...

There is a nice pool in one of the courtyards. The corridors are open-air and very attractive. The room was large and the bathroom nice. There is parking and and little cafe on site. The A/C works well. It is very near the downtown and restaurants and shopping.

I love this hotel! The decor is charming and maintenance is excellent. The room air conditioner is really effective, and that is really critical because Merida is hot and humid! The tile floors are clean and unlike many American hotels, the bedspreads are laundered between guests. Some reviewers complained about hot or cold water problems, but I think it may...

We stayed at this hotel as part of an Intrepid tour. We had a double room which was incredibly spacious! 2 double beds, one single bed and a large floor plan with spacious bathroom. The air conditioning worked well and the in room tv had a great selection of channels. The pool was a bonus for the hot days. There...

Hotel was in a good location -- easy to find because of town's street numbering system -- with decent rooms, good air con and quiet pool. Short walk to main square and lots restaurants nearby. No problem with bed or shower.

Unlike many reviewers, my room had no COLD water. Scorching hot, but should I really complain? My first room was on the first floor by the pool. The AC was off when I arrived, but it quickly got super cold (plus!) once the bellman turned it on. The WiFi for the hotel didn't reach my room (I'm sorry I forgot...

No hot water for 2 days!, we call the front desk and complained several times, staff is useless, can't fix anything, and are not willing to help. wifi signal is weak, don't ruin your vacation, stay somewhere else.

We liked our stay in this basic hotel: we got a very spacious room, the pool was lovely and the hotel is around the corner from the main streets. Breakfast is good. The hotel is nicely decorated. The bar/restaurant area lacked atmosphere, it could be a lot nicer if they had softer lighting, we found it a bit too bright...

“The rooms on the second floor, east of the pool have a small kitchenette which was really convenient; another room on the 2nd floor on a different corridor also had a frig, armchair, and table if you're looking for the bigger rooms. Otherwise, just make sure you get a room with a window, a couple of the rooms don't get sunlight and lead right into their corridor.”

“Take a "simple", that means the room got one bed. It is a big bed for two persons, big enough for two and cheaper. A double is a room with two big beds.”
