So many Mexican hoteliers think the word "Boutique" can be attached to any small scale hotel. The Lecanda is the real deal. A real Boutique Hotel. Quirky, genuine and with a unique selling point. The USP here is the individual perfumes one for each of it's 7 rooms and one for reception. Such a lovely idea. The rooms are fabulous....

This is possibly/likely my favorite place in Merida. With a meticulous feeling for details Casa Lecanda will please you from the very time you enter. The reception, the bar, the pool, the rooms, the staff. This is the way the run a boutique hotel.

We spent two nights at Casa Lecanda during our trip in Yucatan and Quintana Roo. This beautiful hotel is a renovated colonial house in Merida - behind the humble facade, what looks like a small house instead opens up on a spacious and luxury patio, overlooking a small garden and swimming pool. We staid in a Patio room (Alejandro) -...

What an incredible hotel.... As soon as you walk in you will understand why I say this, it is an oasis in the middle of busy and bustling Merida. Perfectly located as you are in the middle between Plaza Grande and Paseo de Montejo. Spent 10 days in total touring around Mexico and Casa Lecanda had the most amazing breakfast...

This is a lovely boutique hotel with only seven rooms. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite, which made our short stay even better. As expected this had a king size bed, a sitting area and a bathroom that had a rain shower and a separate bath which was probably 1.5 metres square. Merida was incredibly hot when we were...

Having travelled extensively across this great country, Merida is a fabulous hot spot - really wish I could run my business from this place - I'd move there and renovate an old Hacienda in a heart beat. Casa Lecanda is in fact a well established restored Hacienda and an incredible job they've done. It's safe, secure, and absolutely chic, in...

From the outside there is just a door on a once beautiful facade on a busy dusty street. But step through the door and you are in a quiet luxurious world. Rafael the bartender was so nice and helpful. He made us special margaritas from a unusual fruit that my daughter bought from a street vendor. They were great. He...

Casa Lecanda took our breath away when we first walked in the door. We had been traveling for a good while with a flight to Cancun and then the 3+ hours drive from the airport and were exhausted but the minute we stepped in, were greeted with cold towels and welcome Margaritas and saw the delicious pool we knew we...

Walk through the large wooden door and enter a magical oasis of calm. The central courtyard reminded me of a Moroccan riad. This small 7 bedroom hotel is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are spacious with amazingly high ceilings, good bathrooms and great showers. The charming staff are unobtrusive but attentive and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is well...

Stayed here in August for 3 nights - The staff at Casa Lecanda were very welcoming, Decor was very tasteful, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the pool was good for a cooling plunge. Breakfasts were beautifully presented and good, the blended margaritas were the best I have tasted - We enjoyed our stay there very much.
