Basic accomodation with excellent location. Nothing fancy here, but the court yard is very pretty and private, and when you step out your door you are walking distance to everything. The rooms are clean with good beds and everything to meet your needs. We arrived in time for the Carnival parades, and the hotel had paid for our front row...

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff were helpful; accommodations were clean, quiet and had character; breakfast was included; parking was included and the location is excellent - about two blocks from Plaza Major. City: Beautiful colonial city Warning: 1. Do NOT buy Tequilla from a store downtown. The sealed bottle we bought was not only overpriced, but...

A decent hotel, centrally situated (which implies some noise for rooms facing the street), friendly service, smallish pool and interior yard, but not excellent. I believe you might get better in Merida for the price, the Casa de Balam is just one block away and looks much more comfortable.

Friendly and attentive staff, nice common areas (pool, lobby, breakfast area). Free internet access (first 30 minutes free, but I never saw them enforcing it strictly). Good breakfast too, especially pleasant with the live music. Minibar in room, which you can use to store your own stuff that may need to be refrigerated. We had booked 3 nights but ended...

The only negative is that there are no elevators. A 4th floor rooms means climbing up and down eight flights of stairs. Staff is very friendly and up on their English. Good location. Everything good ...BUT - no elevators!

I stayed here for a week in February. The rooms are basic and there is A/C but no ceiling fan. There are ants everywhere. It is on the road of the carnival parades so no sleep before 2 am. That is all the negatives. It has a beautiful courtyard and the staff do everything to make your stay wonderful. The...

We arrived the Friday of Carnavale to a jewel of a hotel and front row seats (reserved by Maison Lafitte) for a sparkling parade, the beginning of a perfect stay in Merida. Maison Lafitte is located on the main street connecting the market areas (largest in the Yucatan) past the zocalo to the mansions of the Paseo Montejo in the...

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I just spent 8 days (minus one night in the middle) at the Maison Lafitte. We loved it and would not consider any other hotel in Merida if we should go back. Our room (#103) opened onto the lovely quiet garden (with swimming pool); my daughter and son-in-law's room (#311) had a small private terrace....

Being first time visitors to Merida, we did not know what to expect but Maisson Lafitte exceeded our expectations. Great location - only 4 blocks to El Zocalo where everything happens. The hotel is charming with a great courtyard where a plentiful breakfast is served. Staff is excellent and was quite informative during our stay. A great place to stay...

We had a family reunion at the Maison Lafitte- three generations, twelve people, six rooms, and were mightily impressed! We arrived very late having not eaten since breakfast- no problem, order what you will. Parking next to hotel which a concierge came outside to direct us into. From that early extra sign of welcome on, the staff was unbelievably accomodating,...
