I cannot explain in words how happy and grateful I was to arrive at the Hotel Marionetas. The place was amazing. You are welcomed the second you arrive by warm, cheerful, and absolutely the most pleasant people I have ever met. We arrived late in the afternoon/evening and did not know what to expect. Not only are the people their...

This was my first time in Mexico and we went to Merida immediately after our first stop of Cancun. We took the scenic route to Merida via car and stopped in many of the villages along the way. We had no idea what to expect of Merida, and when we arrived at the Hotel Marionetas we were greeted warmly and...

July 25, 2005 My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Marionetas twice in the last five months, two weeks at the end of February and two weeks in May. The rooms were absolutely lovely and the breakfasts delicious. The hotel's staff made everyday special and after each of our stays we were truly sad to leave: the hotel...

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending four nights at the Hotel Marionetas. We both wished that it had been possible to change our plans and stay much longer. The Marionetas is a wonderful establishment. The guest rooms are clean, modern, spacious and individually air-conditioned. The Hotel’s location makes it easy to stroll to Merida’s top attractions...

I really liked this place until I got home and received an email that I broke a $30 soap dispenser which was conveniently deducted from my credit card...the air conditioning was broken on both of my stays and I used my own soap when I took a bath... I don't even remember seeing a soap dispenser in the shower. Much...

After staying in many top tier hotels in Mexico, Hotel Marionetas, rates as one of the best for security, cleanliness, location and hospitality. The owners, Dan and Sofi Bosco, are obsessed with perfection and it shows. From my king-sized bed (I'm over 6' and the typical Mexican double bed is too small) to the excellent phone system and cool swimming...

We visited the Hotel Marionetas in May 2005 and were extremely impressed with the quality of the hotel. We love the décor and furnishings. The hotel has, by far, the best beds and bathrooms we've encountered in a privately owned hotel anywhere in our travels through Latin America. The service is impeccable and the hotel is immaculate in every respect....

Hotel Marionetas is a wonderful place to stay. My husband and I and our six-year-old daughter stayed here for five nights during our first trip to Mexico, in April 2005. Peaceful and comfortable, it is a true oasis in the city. The decor is exquisite, the food is outstanding, and the people who run the hotel are unbeatable, especially Sofi,...

We more or less decided on the Hotel Marionetas based on Trip Advisor reviews, and there is very little I can add to the numerous positive reviews listed here. The distance of the inn from the bustling city center is close enough to be convenient and far enough to be a welcome sanctuary from what can be a noisy city...

My wife and I paid our second visit to the Marionetas in February, 2005, and it was even better than the first time. Charming, wonderful colors, great location, wonderful breakfasts of fresh fruits and pastries, and the nicest proprietors on Earth. The colors and decorations of both the public areas and rooms are just breathtaking. It is relaxing, a short...
