Of course, I'm just assuming that it's the best hotel since I've only stayed in one other hotel in Merida. ;) Fiona, Alejandro, and Fernando all work at the front desk and are extremely helpful, friendly, and are great additions to any hotel. Irma works in housekeeping and keeps the rooms and common areas spotlessly clean. We would return just... More

While we were underwhelmed by Merida in general, the Hotel de Peregrino was very nice. Jim and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to make sure our stay was comfortable. It is very apparent that Jim takes pride in his hotel and takes very good care of his employees. The price can't be beat and the location is... More

Mexican plumbing leaves a lot to be desired. We ask our guests when they check in not to put paper products down the toilet but inevitably some forget or are totally negligent as we once had to extract a diaper. This combined with the sheer volume of guests at Christmas made for a special circumstance where odors were escaping from... More

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. We have enjoyed both experiences. The hotel is quite gorgeous with it's colonial style architecture. Our rooms were very clean and colourful with AC, fan, bathroom and TV. The staff are extremely helpful. They helped us translate spanish, book taxis and gave us loads of information about... More

Spotless little hotel, full of character in the heart of the historic area of Merida. This hotel is full of charm, the beds are comfy and the hotel staff is great. The free breakfast was nice and they have a great little kitchen to use if you want to make your own meals. Would highly recommend this little gem.

It was hard to leave after a week as it started to feel like home. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful yet professional. We enjoyed having use of a kitchen and the included breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful hotel with my husband. Amazing location, we were able to walk to all the local cultural events, as well as many great restaurants, as well as the market and other shoppung. The staff was so helpful, friendly and knowledgable with anything we asked them. This a small hotel in a very beautiful old building with high ceilings. It is within walking distance from the city centre and very quiet. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable. The only downsides were that the pool is located in an other hotel, several blocks away, and that breakfast was quite bad. It... More

Thank you for your positive comments however there are a couple of items that are not correct. Yes our pool, one of the most beautiful in Merida Centro, is offsite but it is only three short blocks away; about five minutes' walk. Our breakfast is buffet style continental and consists of: cereals, milk, artisan whole wheat bread, butter, jam, fresh... More

I could not agree more with the previous reviews. Yes, it is off the beaten path, but it is a hidden gem. Our friends originally booked a couple of nights here and then chose to stay 6 days. They loved the decor, the cleanliness, the staff, continental breakfast, etc. There are only 13 rooms which gives the place an intimate... More

We booked two rooms, one for the parents and one for the kids. Both were very clean and comfortable. Both rooms were on the ground floor which made entry and exit very easy.
