We stayed at the Hotel Villa Merida for two nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The great experience started with the making of our reservation and the the prompt and friendly service we received--the response and follow up were immediate. Luis, who is the manager, really does a nice job. The hotel is walk of 10 minutes or so...

Okay, when booking this reservation, we so wanted to believe all the raves we read here on Trip Advisor that we just breezed over the not-so-good reviews. BIG MISTAKE! We really felt mislead by positive reviews and I really even suspect many of them are fake positives by some advertising agency or friends of the management. First of all, my...

Villa Merida is a beautiful house restored by a European family and now run by a local family, Although there is only a small staff, the service of the staff was great and the owner was always very helpful. Rooms were very clean, bottled water was provided along with other items in the mini bar, great breakfast and while we...

I promised I would write a review upon my return home, so here it is. Have been planning on going to the Yucatan for several years to go and see the Myan ruins. Finally got round to doing it, so glad I did. I found the Villa Merida's website while researching my trip and took advantage of their explorer package....

Cannot say enough good things about my stay at The Villa Merida. A fantastic hotel, it's actually more like staying in a mansion than a hotel, with a wonderful staff. A truly memorable experience. Food was wonderful, rooms were delightful, staff and service were exemplary. Their guide, Rudolfo, was so knowledgeable and guided us for a couple of days around...

My husband and I were in Merida for a family wedding and the in-laws has made us reservations at the Villa Merida (they're from Merida.) What an absolutely charming, beautiful, superbly run property. It's small, and we basically had all the rooms for the weekend. It was wonderful, the manager, Luis, and his staff are superlative. There is nothing that...

Really can't say enough good things about this hotel. Found on the internet and was really interested in their all explorer package. Wife and I have been planning on visiting and exploring the Mayan ruins for some time. This was definitely the way to do it. Stunning hotel, beautiful rooms, wonderful service, great food. Their guide service was wonderful. Would...

This place was an absolute treat. My wife and I stayed here on our trip to the Yucatan last month and loved it. The service was impeccable and the rooms were great. It's located in the middle of Merida and gives great access to the local culture. They also have some great package tours you can take out to the...

This place is ideal. It is about a 15 minute walk to get to the main square and for a taxi it only took 35 pesos (about $3.00USD). You get to the door and ring a doorbell. The villa does this because of security reasons. When Luis, the manager, opens the door and greats you by name. There is another...

Stayed for four nights at this beautiful little boutique hotel in Merida. It was the best hotel we stayed in during our Yucatan vacation. Like staying in one of the old haciendas, but in town and with a wonderful, wonderful staff. Rooms surround beautiful gardens, fountains and pools. Music plays gently in the background, staff is super attentive, but very...
