This could be a better hotel if it would just have better service. The employes are not helpful. Do not ask the deskfront guys to contact a taxi or tourist service for you. We had unfortunately and realized after those ocassions that we had been overcharged. We ended paying the doble of the normal fare (a taxi to Chichen Itza,...

We checked out many different hotels before settling in the beautiful and clean Piedra del Agua. Everything seemed perfect: the room was gorgeous, and the bathroom huge and clean. It has a lot of charm, Internet access, the restaurant was not bad, the poolside bar with its hammocks is a nice spot to have a drink and enjoy the afternoon....

I'm a television director. Our crew had been on the road for several weeks when we came upon the Piedra de Auga Hotel Boutique. We knew this was a special place when we were all greeted by a sharp server bearing a tray of wine glasses filled with wine. Then, we met the owners (a husband and wife), who treated...

Piedra de Agua is a wonderful hotel that has combined beautifully modernism wuth antiquity. The antique floors of the hotel are a a real beauty. Something that I loved was the view of the Cathedral towers from the modern and exceelent bar, the sound of the Cathedral bells are something very special. The meals are excelent and very well presented....

I had an excellent experience in the hotel... Before reserving I had read reviews on this site. So I was not so convinced about it, but it had been recommended by a friend from Merida as having a great location and very trendy. We decided we did want to stay there, and it was the best choice. Great location, pretty...

My husband, 2-yr. old daughter, and I stayed at the Piedra de Agua Hotel last August when we drove from Cancun to Merida for a few days. We happened to coincide with the hurricane that was predicted to hit Cancun directly. I mention this because it is a key factor in how shabbily this hotel treated us. We arrived on...

I never stayed at Piedra del Agua, but I have visited it frequent times Actually, I planned to stay during New Year Eve and actually made the reservation that I cancelled at the last minute after one of the several bad experiences I had at the hotel. Without any doubt, the hotel is unique in design and location. The rooms...

We booked here initially as we couldn't get a room in other hotels we knew. I couldn't find any information till recently here when I read the bad review so it was with some trepidation that my husband and I arrived late on a Friday night. Luckily our fears were groundless and I agree with the last reviewer about the...
