The rooms are large and lovely, with hand-painted gardens behind the beds. The bathrooms are excellent. The breakfasts are light, tasty and more than enough to get you going in this attractive city. It is such a comfortable small hotel, which is recognizable the minute you walk in the front door and are greeted by Mel or Eddie. You can...

Every great thing that everyone has said in their reviews is true. Mel and Eddie spoil you. The place is a wonderful, beautifully done charming old hotel. A story: I lost my bank card and we had moved on to another hotel (Gran Real Yucatan) because Mel, sadly, didn't have any more nights for us. I tried to figure out...

Recently enjoyed a five night stay at Julamis during carnival 2012. Enjoyed the hospitality of Mel and Eddie under the watchful eye of Kiko. I can,t think of more thoughtful and helpful hosts! I corresponded throu emails with Mel for some time prior to our visit as we had difficulty with our itinerary and then just before arrival the addition...

What a little gem....I had no idea what to expect when we arrived at the nondescript facade of Hotel Julamis. Sitting a few short blocks from the Plaza it was walking distance from many wonderful sites. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner Mel who an artist and co-owner Eddie. Immediately I sensed Mels artist eye when I saw...

There were many things we enjoyed about Julamis, its unparalleled service, lovely decor, great mattress (Tikit room), delicious breakfast served in a vine covered courtyard, and of course, the rooftop terrace. This is where every night we lay down on lounge beds to sip Tequila and stare at sparkling constellations. Oh Mexico! What a wonderful country!

We stayed with Mel and Erid recently on our first trip to Mérida (definitely the first of many). The inn is small and conveniently located in the central district, with a load of extras. Not the least is the hosts. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and available both before arriving (Mel quickly answered all of my booking and travel questions...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Julamis and the stay was excellent from the first to the last minute: the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is delicious, our room (Tekit) was beautiful, comfortable and clean, the location is great (just a few blocks away from Merida's main square and very quiet)... and all of that at a...

This hotel is beautifully decorated from the floor tiles to the wallpaper. We stayed in the Kabah room which was very spacious but slightly dark. There is a complimentary mini bar which was much appreciated. It is located a few blocks away from the central street in Merida in a quiet area. (40 pesos taxi to the bus station). Staff...

Stayed at the Julamis in December. Just got back from travelling around for a month or so and am now writing the review. The Julamis is an excellent hotel in Merida! We stayed in Merida for 5 nights and ended up in two different rooms as they had no availability in one single room. Both rooms were great. We really...
