nice hotel in good location, one block from 5th Avenue but nice and quiet. hotel has a small swimming pool and clean rooms. staff are very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again, good value for money.
Great place to stay, super located just 6 minutes from beach and oposite market Oxxo. Staff friendly and helpful. Room has everything you need (A/C, fridge, your own wifi router), balcony. Nice small pool sourrouned with palms, singing birds. Highly recommended.
I had met Francesco Fanelli (manager) and Giada when they worked at a different hotel in PdC so when they went to Hotel Riviera Caribe Maya, I did not think twice before booking a room there. The hotel is extremely well-located in PdC and I could not hear the noise from 5th avenue. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Very attentive and helpful. I did have to call them one night because there was a group of idiots staying right besides my room, yelling and slamming doors. After my call, the noise ended and there were no more incidents after that. Hotels have no means to detect if guests will behave like idiots or not but hotels do have a say when terrible guests start to behave like idiots and Hotel Riviera Caribe Maya did help me out by addressing the source of the noise that was preventing me from sleeping. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I go to PdC.…
We were stuck and not able to get to the ferry in time, and did not make it to Cozumel in our first night. We searched a hotel and the staff here at hotel caribe was super friendly. They help navigate us to them and we're accommodating on where to eat and how to get to the ferry the next day. The hotel was not fancy but definitely quaint!! Grateful for their patience and assistance.
Checkin was easy but did require an extra tax that had to be paid in person. The room was clean with good air conditioning, a large bathroom and shower, and a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool. Sound insulation was good between the two rooms. The bed was 2 twin beds pushed together, so the middle was uncomfortable but bearable. Breakfast was not great but coffee was good so we would get coffee there and then go out for breakfast after. A little removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but we liked it that way. Only annoying experience was that one morning we had to leave really early for an excursion and although we checked the night before to make sure it was okay, a different man was working when we came down at 5 AM and he refused to open the door to let us out until we told him which room we were in and could produce our room key to prove we were guests -- it didn't make much sense to have to prove we were guests in order to leave. Would still stay here again!…
