We stayed at Riviera Del Sol February 24, 2008 through March 2, 2008. Stayed in room 301. The employees at the front desk were all polite; the room was large and clean, but the room lacks ample clothes storage for places to put your clothes. Water and ice are not provided daily. Two small cups of purified water were provided...

We stayed in this hotel the end of May to the first week of June and while the hotel was very clean and the front desk was very helpful, I felt it was a bit over priced. Granted it was 1 block away from the beach, most hotels are in this area! Bring AMERICAN cash - they peg their rates...

I chose Riviera del Sol because of the location and the good reviews I read on various websites. First, the good. It's SPOTLESS. Whatever sand I tracked in was mopped up by Dulce each morning. The bathroom was very clean as well as the rest of the room. The water got very hot even though I didn't use it to...

We stayed here in mid-April 2007. Trying to find a nice hotel in Playa del Carmen was a daunting task. Everything on or near the beach was booked. We didn't want to stay in Playacar and we didn't want to be on 5th Ave. We were driving, so parking was a concern. The hotel where we had stayed just seven...

Since most reviews were positive, I booked 2 rooms for me and my kids. The rooms were spacious and looked out onto the pool area. My problem was that it was noisy because of the traffic; I don't think it would be much different in any other small hotel. One got use to it quickly. Showers were hot, so I...

This was our 5th time to Playa del Carmen, and our first time at the Riviera del Sol. We only stayed one night, as we'd rented a condo for the rest of our time. The location is fantastic -- in the Italian section, away from the big crowds, and close to the beach. Like most places in Playa, however, it...

My partner and I stayed at the Riviera del Sol for 4 nights in January 2007. We liked the location, away from the busiest part of PDC, but with plenty of good restaurants nearby, and just a block from the beach. The staff was very helpful and pleasantly informal (at one point, when we said we liked the incense burning...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. It was during the Christmas and fully booked, we would like to stay 2 more nights but no room is available. The room is clean, bright, breakfast is good. The location is great, just off the 5th Av, and 2 minutes walk to the beach. We had great time during the stay...

I have stayed in many hotels in Playa Del Carmen and last week stayed at the Riviera Del Sol. Juan Jose was very attentive to my emails requesting information on parking in the area and discounts for cash payments. The room was very clean, had excellent air conditioning and included breakfast in the price. There is a pool on the...

This was our third stay at Riviera Del Sol. Our first stay was last year during Hurricane Emily, and having experienced first hand how they look after their guests, we vowed to stay again. Since then, this hotel is our number one choice. The location is superb - it's a 5 minute walk to Mamitas (where you have free sunbed...
