Have stayed here multiple times ans just keeps getting better. Love the staff, Victor and Milton are the best! Clean, good food and drinks. The new Samarai Japenese restaurant is great. Nice beach with fishing boats to give it an old Mexico feel. Close to 5th Ave shopping. We did miss the Mexican dinner they used to have in the...

The good... Very nice smaller resort, friendly staff, clean, buffet is fair. Very close to town, shopping and great restaurants! Very Big PLUS The bad... Needs to be updated. Poor water pressure, warmish showers, inconsistent room temperature or working A/C, inconsistent waiting staff, very long waits at the "specialty restaurants". The ugly... Be very careful of the "Beach Club" next...

A smaller resort - main grounds, lobby and pools are clean and well-kept. The rooms leave much to be desired. They appear dated and worn. Most rooms offer 2 double beds, limited king-sized available. One of our parties had issues with plumbing and the water pressure was typically low. Our room was on the north side and during the night...

This is a small friendly resort with a short walk to the beach...quite a small roped off area to swim with boats on the other side...easy to walk along the beach either way...also could walk to 5th ave. to shops, coffee & restaurants very easily which we did daily as there was a charge for wifi. ($49 per week)...I was...

TheReefResorts, Brand Executive at The Reef Coco Beach, responded to this review

Dear Judy S, We would like to mention that Playa del Carmen is a fishing village. Even before the hotel was built the boats had been in the sea in front of the hotel and unfortunately we are not allowed to remove them from there. The law makes it very difficult for us to take actions. Besides this, the hotel...

Travelled to The Reef Coco Beach alone for some diving and pyramids. The resort staff is very friendly, the dive shop is world class, and was able to do a day trip to Chichen Itza. The location was perfect in relation to the airport, Carmen, and attractions in the Yucatan. Definitely want to go back soon.

Customer service is very good. Thank you! Very cozy place with its own unique aura and special atmosphere. We loved the turtles in the fountain of the reception area and the statues. All the staff were welcoming and efiicient.

Full size bed for 2 people not good it's a too small Need too change the rolling cars for sheets, towels and empty bottles from the bar for the employees. All resorts wake up 7am because of that. Everything else was good

This was the most expensive resort I have stayed at. The value for the money is not there. Only chose this resort because other family was staying there. Food was about a 4. The waiters at the buffets needed more help, they were working very hard. My husband had to leave 3 days early and I would have liked to...

My wife and I spent a week in Reef Coco in Playa del Carmen Jan 24, 2017. We found the facilities , although starting to show age, were comfortable, quiet and served us well. The food was good although rather medium in choice. Our room was clean and a good size. The patio door squeezed so loud that it woke...
