To call this a 5 star property is wrong. They have the shell of a 5 star property, beautiful, exclusive feeling grounds, comfortable rooms, plenty of amenities etc. However, I was honestly appalled by the restaurant service at both their main casual dining spot - La Laguna -- and their pool/beach waitstaff. And, I refuse to "blame' their local staff...

Very nice resort. Friendly service and comfortable accommodations. David Lozano was our butler and totally spoiled us. Thank you Alphonso for making the girls feel like angels. Weather forecast was not great the week were there but every day had long periods of nice weather. If it's windy at the beach, the pool area is nicely sheltered. Staff at Las...

Stayed in a beach area casita at this lovely resort between Cancun and tulum. It's a large property with lots of choices for accommodations. We chose a beach area casita. It's on a canal but has more privacy than the beach front. Comes with a butler who truly manages everything from getting chairs set out for you to tours, dinner...

This resort and its staff deserve the highest recognition, for both service and the luxury. The grounds are gorgeous, and the staff is warm and friendly. Our room was graciously upgraded and couldn't have been more beautiful. Not only was a two-room suite a great perk, but also the high-end bathrooms, fresh flowers, etc. The twice daily maid service/turn-down service...

Stayed 12/27/16 to 1/2/17. Second visit to this property (first being 10 years ago) and it continues to improve and impress. We were lucky enough to get butler service from Ricardo, who was unbelievably helpful. He helped plan several excursions for us, including Xcaret, a private tour to Tulum, and an exciting visit to Selvatica (awesome). He was available to...

Good as always. We don't like the paint job at Las Brisas or La Laguna. To carribean and not Mexican feeling anymore. We like the changes to El Puerto though from a design standpoint. The rooms need a Bose radio in each like they used to. We asked for one, so no big deal, but for future reference. Some of...

Overall a great resort- amazing jungle/beach setting. Service is great - people try to relate on a very personal level. The quality of the food is better than when we went last year. We took two dinners over at the Rosewood on the same Mayakoba property - Casa De Lago and Agave Azul - Agave Azul was good, Casa De...

My family spent a fabulous week at the Fairmont Myakoba and we had plenty to do. We walked the trails, played golf, relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the restaurants. The Tortuga Presidential Suite was an exquisite living area but the best amenity was our private butler, Riccardo. We told him what we wanted to do each day and he...

My family recently stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba and the whole stay was great. We stayed in the Tortuga presidential suite which was beautiful. Very secluded with a personal pool in the backyard. Ricardo, our private butler was extremely helpful and friendly. He was able to help us plan all of the activities for our trip from snorkeling in the...

The Fairmont is a beautiful property. You get to enjoy both the mangroves and the sea! The pools are beautiful and service is great. Our butler Ricardo Bahena was amazing! Ricardo helped with everything from restaurant suggestions, reservations, knowledge of the area and everything in between. The only issue we had was the spa. I had an awful allergic reaction...
