We stayed five nights and I could not recommend more highly. Great quiet location with a well sized room with all the necessities supplied. Nice pool and option of self catering if you wanted to with a good kitchen etc. The boys on the desk, David, Mathieu and Roberto were outstanding and were very informative on where to go and...

This little hotel is perfect for those who wish to stay in a quiet, clean and friendly hotel. The amenities are basic, but well kept and clean. The pool area is a quiet, shady spot in which to cool off. They do close the pool at 9 and the patio at midnight ensuring a quiet environment for everyone at the...

We stayed at Luna Sol just one night. Took the ferry to Cozumel the next morning. The location was great as it was within walking distance to the main tourist area of Playa del Carmen and the ferry. When you first arrive at the hotel it seems to be in maybe not the best neighborhood but once inside it is...

We were 3 adult family members staying in PDC for 1wk . This hotel is tucked away by about 2 blocks from 5th ave. The rooms are clean, spacious, with bar fridge , great shower and A/C worked very well. My favourite was the outdoor kitchen by the pool area. You could have a few drinks ,dip in pool while...

No need to stay anywhere else when in Playa Del Carmen. A hidden gem. This place is so beautiful, clean, quiet, ideally located, with so many amenities to make this the oasis it is. When you step in, you're amongst the kindest and most caring staff. The rooms are delightful and spacious, the pool sparkling and pretty at night, breakfast...

We moved to LunaSol after staying at another nearby hotel and were much more comfortable at LunaSol. We stayed on the ground floor next to the pool and loved the easy access to the pool and not having to lug our stuff far. We could access the pool wifi from there. The room was nicely decorated, clean and good sized....

Quiet and clean hotel. We had two rooms on the poolside and it made our childrens' day. the pool is really nice for kids and the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They gave us coupons for breakfast in a nearby restaurant, which was good too. I would recommend it to families and those who look for an affordable place...

Five of us (including two children) stayed at the Hotel LunaSol for a single night. We had a wonderful stay. The HLS is a lovely hotel. Even though it's only a couple blocks from the bustling 5th street, it was calm and quiet. The kids loved the outdoor pool ad there was plenty of tables and lounge chairs. Even though...

“I like both the pool side rooms as well as the others. If there are many people using the kitchen by the pool (which happens every now and then), the "off rooms" can be quieter. My only complaint is that smoking is allowed outside. For those of us bothered by cigaret smoke, it makes sitting "out" less enjoyable. Still: this is Mexico and not another country. ”

“1. Playa Del Carmen has a Walmart that rivals most Walmart's within the United States. It is within walking distance to the hotel. I highly suggest utilizing it. Buy bottled water and groceries from there. The meats there are of the highest quality in the area. 2. Don't drink the water in Mexico. Don't drink drinks mixed with ice or blended ice from bars in Mexico. Not even if they tell you if the ice is made from filtered water. You will regret it. 3. The food in Mexico is very salty. 4. I highly suggest visiting Tulum and Coba. You can purchase this as a single excursion at the hotel. 5. Exchange your currency in Mexico because they don't charge you for it. There are multiple exchanges within Playa Del Carmen, all within walking distance. There is one within 2 blocks of the hotel. 6. Have tons of fun. Playa Del Carmen is a great place and I hope to be back soon.”

“Rooms are basic, not meant for people who like to spend a lot of time in the hotel room. Double beds with two pillows per double bed. One nice bar of soap. They do have A/C which is great because it is hot in Playa! Bring sunscreen and hats!”
