What a great find! Another positive experience thanks to TripAdvisor. We got there without knowing what to expect, Joshua welcomed us at his wonderful garden and then everything worked out just fine. We stayed at the comfortable and peaceful Nerenja room, all we needed after days of sun and fun. Great alternative Tulum Pueblo hotel, vs US$200 hotel on the...

This little green oasis is a great place if you need to stay in Tulum centro or don't want to pay beach hotel prices. Very handy to the bus station and many restaurants. Joshua very helpfully got us in touch with a guide for a birding tour the next day. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed there 5 nights on our recent trip to Tulum. Our experience mirrors a lot of what others have to say about Joshua and his Staff. It seems to be situated perfectly in town. Just enough off the main street but, close enough in walking distance to see most of downtown on foot. Joshua's recommendations too...

We stayed here for 2 nights on the back end of our honeymoon. The lot is small but gorgeous and off the strip. The garden area itself was beautiful and it was very easy to relax in the shade on the day beds outside the rooms. Our room was simple but just what we needed. We stayed in the orange...

We stayed at the Secret Garden for three nights and wish we'd have had more time - will certainly be returning though. The Secret Garden is an incredibly relaxed place to stay -- its set well away from the main road, and back a few streets. The rooms are very comfortable, and well priced, and the hotel has a great...

We arrived before check-out, so they held our luggage and gave us a map of Tulum, and showed us several locations for a good lunch within walking distance. The staff at the front desk was always helpful and informative, and the service was friendly and thorough. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, offering shade and quiet in the middle of...

Secret Garden bears well its name, as there is a wonderful garden full of birds where you can relax, read, surf on the free wi-fi, exchange with other travellers. You can choose between air con rooms or cabanas, all spotless, tastefully decorated, spacious. Good shower, hot water all day. Very quiet as it is on a side street, walkable distance...

We have travelled around the Yucatan a lot - a month every Christmas season- for many years. After you have visited the more well-known tourist draws, you need someone like Joshua to tell you about things only the locals know. The hotel has a super location for the bus traveller - just around the corner and behind the ADO station....

Our extended family travelled to Mexico for the wedding of our eldest son and after the wedding in Queretaro we spent the last weeks of our holiday in the Caribbean coast area of Mexico. We spent the first nine days of this time based at The Secret Garden in Tulum. It was a great decision. Joshua and Maura were welcoming,...
