I run a studio in Los Angeles, Hollywood Power Yoga, and brought 11 students to Yoga Shala for a February Retreat. Andrew and his wife were incredibly communicative and kind owners; Andrew emailed with me for months helping organize this retreat which included board, yoga and meals. The meals provided by Alexa at Yoga Shala's restaurant were all local, fresh,...

I had a great experience, the shared toilet, room and surrounding were clean and very cute. I went the last week of February we had no issues with mosquitoes or insects. By chance the people staying in the other rooms were very quiet, the walls are very thin and you do hear everything so it could be a problem if...

I booked this place at the recommendation of a friend. The property is nice, with small shop, yoga studio, a cafe and nice rooms, but I thought it was overpriced for what it was. First off, we arrived a day later than expected due to weather delays. I notified the hotel in advance and asked about their refund policy and...

The hotel itself looks really nice: nice jungle surrounding, lovely cabanas, lovely common area, great for accessing the beach, and great if you like yoga. However, for 100 $ per night I was not happy to have cockroaches in my room, and I was not happy that the walls are so incredibly thin that you can hear absolutely everything that...

I have stayed at Yoga Shala twice now, the first time it was wonderful. This second time it was not! The workers are great. The beds nice, but it was more run down this time around. We had DJ's above us, and they would come in to sleep at 5am. They would talk very loud, make a racket, and have...

Tip if you come to Tulum: do NOT stay jungle side. Yoga Shala looks cute BUT: - rooms really noisy (paper thin walls - one night we had people having sex above and to the side of us and on the other side an Aussie couple screaming at one a other) - mosquitoes are horrendous. so much so the mossie...

I had a great time during my stay at Yoga Shala during the Xmas and NYE period, travelling solo I was a bit worried but staying there felt like being at home. All the staff (big shout out to Andrew, Guadalupe, Artemio, Margarita and the security guys) made my stay in Tulum special and I met some great guests too...

Me and my boyfriend rented a room with a private bathroom for 7 nights in the beginning of December. The room was cozy, as well as the hotel area. They clean the rooms every day and you get fresh towel every day. Environment is calm and quiet. The hotel is located on the jungle side of the road, just one...

Yoga Shala is in the heart of what's happening in Tulum and has multiple daily yoga classes in one of the nicest studios I've been in. I've stayed at the hotel every time I've come to Tulum because of it's organic charm, tranquil feel; and it's proximity to the beach, restaurants, and bars. It's also a great value compared to...

I arrived in Tulum on the overnight bus from Belize city at 4.30am. The staff did not know I was arriving this early, but as the taxi pulled up at Yoga Shala Armand the night guard greeeted us and invited us in. Told us the rooms were obviously not ready but we could relax on the sofa until they were....
