For a budget hotel, we were quite happy with this place. We were in Tulum for a week and stayed here the whole time. The room was spacious and clean. The couple that owned it were super friendly and helpful as well. It is right in town, yet far enough from the bustle of the main street that it was...

We stayed there in jan 16 and wanted to book online to avoid struggling finding a place. There wasn't many hotels available online in our price range so booked that one at 750 pesos. This isn't very cheap in Mexico (for budget places) and we heard people coming in and the price was halved, without even negociating... Which was a...

The management are funny and nice. Was very helpful. Location (if you want DOWNTOWN Tulum, not the beaches) is great but everything else was below average. Towels was a joke, pillows the same, bed was not really comfortable. Nice hammock area with sitting in the second floor up front

Go to Tulum, stay in town. Make that your base, great people, restaurants and nightlife. Authentic and amazing people. Minutes from the beach or hang out in a cenote in the jungle for the day. I Love it! We stayed at Hotel La Luna Gitana for our 2 weeks, right off the main strip, next to a hostel. It was...

Location is great, very close to everything. You can walk about 6 blocks (12-15 minutes walk) to ADO bus station or catch a cab for 50 pesos. I rented a bike at Kelly bike on the recommendation of the host. The hosts, a husband and wife, are very nice. They provided a lot of information, they always greet you with...

A good location, fair service, nice common area with hammocks, and a budget price: what could possibly go wrong? Unfortunately the rooms are a bit tired, with our bed featuring threadbare sheets and pancake-style pillows. If rooms and furnishings were updated this place would provide a much better night's sleep! The wifi was also intermittent.

The hotel is a very simple place to stay on Tulum. It is cheap and offers what you pay for. Nights might be very hot and riddled with mosquitoes, so proceed with caution. However, the italian host, Andrea, was very helpful and gave us useful recommendations for our trip. He has a lot of crazy stories to tell, so definitevely...

Tulum is by no means a budget destination and hotels in particular are very high priced for what you get. La Luna Gitana is, however, a great option in the budget segment. Amenities are simple but the room is nice, the bed comfortable, cleaning impeckable and service friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed. Can´t really complain...

On the edge of town right opposite Natty Dread (Trip advisor map is incorrect at this time, see GPS signal attached). The fan in the room is good and quiet if only on half speed. The showers are hot. The mosquito nets on the windows do not have holes (in room 9 at least). The bed is really big! Simple...

Cosy, clean hotel with very friendly staff! Cheap and close to the main street with lots of restaurants, cafes etc. Got a very big room with fan and everything worked as it should. The wifi connection is best in the common area with the hammock (and unfortunately some mosquitos). Can definitely recommend this place!
