My fiance and I just returned from a gorgeous 5 night stay in Tulum. Our lovely trip was made possible by the incredible staff at Posada Lamar. Carlos and Adrianna greeted us and treated us with such humanity that we will always return to this place. The casitas are artistically built just a few sandy steps from the water. There...

We have been going to Tulum since 1999...it's hard to see all the new construction and fancy hotels everywhere, but I decided to be happy that Tulum is thriving, and I hope only for best for all the people that live and work there. But we still love it, and come back every year. Posada Lamar is small, clean, and...

This is a very lovely, clean and comfortable accomodation. Unique design, excellent personnel and cozy location. Comfortable lounge chairs on the beach, delicious breakfasts, free botles of water in the room, mosquito netting on each bed and peaceful surroundings. We totally enjoyed out two day visit. Tulum is a quick easy drive down the beach road ( go early as...

First of all, I would sign every word of the review of Felfly. We stayed in Zafiro, which is one of the two ocean-front huts of the place. Zafiro has a fantastic terrace, which probably has the best view of the beach. It is a traditional wooden hut with very basic decoration. There is no electricity plug, you have to...

Stating at Posada Lama for a week. Have just has 4 night in Zaffir which is the best. Unreal location, an upstairs loft, breakfast out on the balcony each day. The huts are quite roughly put together which adds to the charm but may not be everyone's cup of tea. We came to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary so...

My husband and I stayed at Posada Lamar for a week in Jan. and it exceeded our expectations! I've stayed at a few other small bungalow-type hotels along the beach before, and this was my favorite. The cabanas are simple and charming - there's a nice artistic approach and homey feel - the king-sized bed was comfortable and the room...

Tulum beach is absolutely gorgeous. However, electricity and sweet water are in short supply. At Posada Lamar, there are no plug outlets in the rooms, and rather salty water in the shower! Still, we spent a perfect three days there. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning, which we ate on our huge balcony so close to the water....

We just returned from a week over Xmas....we have stayed here before and it is worth repeating...this is a wonderful, rustic, charming, romantic place....the staff is layer back, and I mean that in a good way...they are there when you need the and not when you don't ....Adriana is a lovely hostess at the front desk.....everything from breakfast on our...

First, the hotel was roots, but this is what I expected. When you wake up in the morning, the sunrise is breathtaking! We stayed Zafiro, which is the best choice. Spend the extra money....completely worth it! There was a night where we didn't have any running water for a few hours, but staff was working on the problem. Adriana and...

We have oh-so very busy lives! Back in June, we decided to book a trip to Tulum, Mexico. We decided to spend our entire holiday -3 weeks, in Tulum. It is always a little daunting to pick a place from so far away with very little information to go with. We based our decision on the Trip advisor reviews and...
