At BC (Beaver Creek) & about 15 minute drive to Vail. 4 hot tubs & heated outdoor pool (didn't have any issues with getting one, people respected the 15 minutes if others were waiting the week I was there) Plenty of local places to get things in walking distance or very short drive if you are too tired after skiing all day. Recommend Bob's Place for weekend breakfast. Great food. A Subway with entrance from inside facility. Also Charter Sports is the same for quick access for ski stuff and helpful staff at Charter especially since this was first time in area. Small room, but great location and the partial kitchen was big enough for us 4 skiers for breakfast and supper meals with 1 burner and 1 skillet. Just remember you may have some stairs to traverse your luggage and food, but well worth it for the location and bennies you get. They have ping pong tables, air hockey tables (cost), and exercise room which all looked great, but I didn't partake. Did do runs every day East out of facility to Walmart & Home Depot entrance and back. Bike lines both ways and it was flat and nice views of the valley (still 8,000+ elevation, so take it easy if you're not acclimated to the elevation). Staff was helpful. Let me have extra door keys (RFID cards) for all and an extra parking pass since we had 2 vehicles due to them having extra spots that week. Also gave us extra towels, TP, & lotion when needed. Highly recommended. …
My husband and I stayed here for a week and everything was perfect. The location is great and the rooms had everything we needed. The fireplace and hot tubs made this place one of our favorites for the price. They have laundry facilities, charter sports for rentals downstairs, and a great restaurant in the lodge, Pho20. The indoor and outdoor hot tubs were one of the best parts. Location is very close to delicious restaurants. Can’t wait to come back again.
Give Christie Lodge a try I’d you plan to ski at Beaver Creek or Vail. This report has the best location at the base of the mountain in beautiful Avon. Free, free, bus system takes you skiing right a the front door, a shopping and restaurant bus does the same thing. No need for a car here. Fully remodeled, Christie is wonderful. Heated pools, hot tubs, in house ski shop and restaurants add to the experience. Fly into Eagle airport for simple access to the Vail Valley, Avon, Edwards, and much more.
Easy check in and out. Very responsive front desk. Effective COVID protocols. Clean suites. Good value in an expensive ski resort community. Free public transportation right outside the door. And free parking if you arrive by car.
The lodge is a fantastic place to stay for visitors trying to mind the wallet. The staff is very friendly and helpful, from the front desk and housekeeping to the Charter Sports store. Felt safe with their covid precautions and the requests I made for our room were honored. Rooms and lobby were clean but just okay. Restaurants and stores are in walkable distance and free shuttle to Beaver Creek was perfect. Overall a clean and decent place to rest your head after a long day on the mountain. We would stay here again.
