Hi my name is linzi last night at around 12pm my partner and I came to stay at Ashford central. I came in to organise the room while my partner was organising the car. Upon recieveing my room card the gentleman behind the counter who I believe is called max automatically noticed my partner who I hadn't mentioned yet and decided to not disclosey room number what floor my room was on or how to get there as he didn't realise we were together. Just want to say a big thank you for making myself feel safe and for Max's quick thinking. He is a credit to your hotel and if we are ever back down we will be sure to stay! Thank you so much. P.s tried to contact hotel direct but couldn't get through so I hope max sees this as he deserves a pat on the back!

On arrival at this hotel on a Sunday afternoon my wife and I were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist. Covid 19 precautions were obviously taken seriously, and we felt safe throughout our stay. A fault immediately found on arrival was that on entering our room it was very cold; there was no heating in the room, and it was a cold day. I complained to the lady receptionist, who could not have been more helpful - and brought up an oil-filled radiator for us which heated the room nicely. The bed was as usual very comfortable, and our room was equipped with a wide-screen television, so it suited us well. The only other occurrences of note were two. First that there was a power-cut one early morning which occurred when I was in the shower. Not a pleasant experience as I had to climb out of the bath in pitch darkness - ideally the hotel would have some emergency lighting for this type if event, but I suppose it happens so rarely it is not thought worthwhile. Secondly, and also out of the hotel's hands, was that a car alarm went off in the early hours of the morning belonging to a car parked in the yard of an adjacent car showroom, and it went on for hours - not conducive to sound sleep. The moral of this story is that when booking, if possible get a room overlooking the front of the hotel. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our visit to Kent, and enjoyed our stay at this hotel which we would certainly stay in again.

Check in was straightforward, friendly and done in no time. I had an issue on the first night with very noisy aircon and/or plumbing behind the aircon machine. Again reception were very helpful and I swapped rooms the next day. No problem with the new room at all. Both rooms were exceptionally clean on initial entry. All the staff I met during my 4 night stay were friendly and helpful. All of the Covid necessities seemed very efficient and I always felt safe. In fact I particularly liked the fact that no-one entered my room during my stay as I'd have felt the need to tidy up the desk with the 'puter on it and a myriad of leads for various devices that needed charging. I was on the meal deal and the Table Table across the car park was equally efficient and safe from a Covid perspective, plus the staff were very friendly and efficient. For weather reasons I decided to cut my 5 night planned stay short by 1 night. In so doing I forgot to empty the draw of the wall unit leaving behind a sweater and 2 polo shirts. I contacted the hotel when I got home and agreed that I would send on a large enough pre-stamped envelope for the staff to put said clothes in and post back to me. The package has now arrived and I'm immensely grateful to all concerned for overcoming my forgetfulness.

Initially it all started well with good parking and it was a quick easy book in Then it went down hill. We got back to the room about 2200 and when you switched on the bathroom lights the extract system was very noisy with a rattle and high pitch rattle that continued for a while when switched off. The room heating blew in cold air even with the fan off and temp turned up. We switched it off but the system continued to make strange noises. In the morning we noticed that the bathroom wasn’t very clean especially behind the toilet seat which was black. The soap dispenser was empty. When we started the shower the tray filled up and overflowed. I had to remove a large plug of disgusting hair and soap residue for us to get a shower. When I went to report it and hand the key card back there was no one at reception we waited but no one came. As we left the receptionist was outside in the smoking shelter having a smoke. I filled in one of the online complaint forms and nothing happened for a week other then the now usual vacuous statement blaming all delays on Covid 19. I tried the email address again only to get a reply saying the email info was incorrect and no one would answer. It gave another email address which was rejected several times as unknown. I then found another address online and sent the complaint again. A week later and still no reply. I have stayed in many Premier Inns all normal very good. I can’t however recommend this particular establishment who need to retrain their maintenance and cleaning staff. Needless to say I will not use it again

Even before arriving, I'd had excellent customer service from Wendy, and this was only added to when I arrived in person. Jess was also a great ambassador for Premier Inn. Hotel was comfortable, covid secure and quiet. The restaurant was disappointing however.
