My husband and I stayed in a junior suit for two nights; we wish we could have stayed twice that long. The hotel is very well situated near the zocolo and main shopping area, yet it is on a quiet street. Our room was comfortable, roomy, and spotlessly clean. The furnishings and tiles were lovely and the showers were hot....

And 'charming' has its limits. If you want colonial period, I'd suggest you visit a museum rather than stay in one... no parking, impossible to find, ok rooms with poor pillows and awful towels ( you just can't charge luxury rates and have lousy towels!!!)... You find yourself wishing early, and often, that you'd looked a bit further for nice...

We stayed 4 nights at this fantastic Hotel (including New Year's Eve). What a fantastic stay! Personnel was expecting us. Room was clean and well serviced. Breakfast was excellent combined with the excellent service from Guadalupe and her team. The hotel's location is excellent at walking distance to all major attractions. Overall, it was an outstanding hotel. We highly recommend...

Spent a couple of days with some members of the family. Its a great place with nice and clean rooms! Very good breakfast and friendly service. It is very well located, two blocks away from the main plaza. Good value for you money! I would definitely stay here again.

Our son took us to San Miguel de Allende for a long weekend and chose this hotel as he had stayed here a few months earlier. Our room was a junior suite, it had a huge four poster bed, a mezzanine floor with a television and a selection of books (English and Spanish titles) and a very comfortable sofa. The...

We traveled to the beautiful city of San Miguel de Allende for a long weekend to celebrate a Birthday and do some Christmas shopping. I picked Hacienda ELSantuario mainly because it was close to both the Central Square and Juarez Park (nice park to visit or run in the early morning). Both areas offer good restaurants and shopping. In addition...

Hacienda El Santuario has a lot of character given it's history as a sanatarium and the labyrith of walkways. The courtyard is lovely and where breakfast is served albeit limited menu options. One note, breakfast is served off the courtyard, so unless you are an early riser you may be awoken by guest conversation. San Miguel is a lovely town...

We loved this hotel. It's extremely central, a charming oasis within the city. Rooms are very well decorated, practical - everything you need - and clean. Super confortable beds. Lovely bathrooms too. Worth going for the Master Suite with a terrace(e.g. Buganvilla) if possible. The personnel was particularly friendly and helpful, making it an overall great experience.

My husband and I spent one night at this hotel, and we were glad that it was only for a night. We were disappointed in the hotel from even before we arrived. We emailed the hotel in advance of our stay to request assistance with car transportation from the airport, and with a specific request to arrange for dinner reservations...

We simply cannot say enough good things about the accommodations and the staff. This incredible gem in the heart of one of the world's most beautiful cities will not fail to please. Beyond the grace of the proprietor and staff is the amazing ambiance of peace and tranquility and the elegance of every vista. Great thought has gone into the...
