I had the pleasure of staying at the Casa Quetzal for almost three weeks in October while attending language school. I want to highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Miguel. It has a fabulous location, an amazing staff and excellent guest rooms. Upon entering the interior of Casa Quetzal you are greeted by beautifully, serene surroundings that...

Casa Quetzal - Perfect!! Staying at Casa Quetzal raised my San Miguel de Allende experience from 4-Stars to a FULL 5-Stars. Cynthia, and her staff at Casa Quetzal, have created a level of comfort & beauty second to none in San Miguel. The authentic restoration of the property is exquisite - down to the finest detail. The colors, foliage, furnishings...

I have just returned from a week in Guanajuato. My first arrival was San Miguel De Allende. This lovely Colonial Village is breath taking. In addition the hotel CASA QUETZAL is absolutely heavenly. The hotel is nestled in one of the many cobblestone streets in tranquil San Miguel De Allende. The staff is very hospitable and they make you feel...

My husband and I took the opportunity to slip away to San Miguel for a few days this summer while our children were at camp. What a lovely, wonderful refuge we found at the Casa Quetzal! Our suite was peaceful and beautiful. We were served a delicious breakfast every morning on our private terrace at just the time we asked...

Casa Quetzal is a piece of paradise! We would come in after a long hot day of running around and just melt into the front courtyard dripping with blossoms hanging from archways with the sounds of interior fountains and birds in the background -- lovely! The design is a breathtaking mix of old world and new, a very comfortable refuge...

Casa Quetzal was Casa Encantada for us! We enjoyed three nights and four days in this lovely and well cared for hotel. The owner and staff were exceptionally welcoming and tended to every request and question with great attention to detail in the most efficient and pleasant manner. The location close to the square, restaurants, and shopping just added another...

I was part of the wedding party that stayed there in April. From the highly recommended breakfast on our private terrace to the nicely appointed rooms, we enjoyed ourselves. The staff was great and helped in every way possible. My only concern would be that the coziness of the hotel would not be as charming if you had to share...

We really appreciate hearing from guests who have so enjoyed our hotel and this group of people was really special and fun. I do, however, want to address the question of the "coziness" aspect and concern about it if the hotel were not being used by only one group. What we have found is that, because almost half of the...

This is a charming place in a great location in San Miguel. Even though it's in the heart of the neighborhood with all of the galleries and shops, the rooms are very quiet and set back from the street quite a ways. In addition to luscious beds, beautiful art all around and plenty of amenities, there is a wonderful, shady...

My wedding was in San Miguel in March 2007, and we booked all of Casa Quetzal for our wedding party to stay. My mother and I stayed there the week prior to the wedding and I can honestly say that owner Cynthia and her staff kept me sane and gave us the best accommodations we could ever imagine. I have...

We researched B&Bs and other accomodations before holding our breath and crossing our fingers and booking Casa Quetzal. We were so happy with it. When we arrived we were not greeted. However, when the host realized that we had a reservation they jumped to help. We were shown our small yet perfectly adequate, cute room. The bedroom was separated from...
