This small hotel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Loved the atmosphere of a colonial style Mexican house with an indoor patio and lots of plants. Location is perfect. Walking distance to almost all interesting sites. Breakfast is basic: small plate of fruit, bread, coffee and eggs, but enough to start your day. The staff...

I really would rate the property as good not average because there are some very nice features. Villa Mirasol is located about a 5 min walk from the Historical Center of San Miguel de Allende. They had free parking 300m down the street. The grounds were beautiful with lots of foliage and places to sit outside. However, my room was...

Im all for boutique/independent hotels. But yeezus... make sure the place is up and running. Parking is 200 pesos per night, I had to wait 45 minutes for my room to be ready because the previous guests "left really late". After all the waiting, they take me to a room I never booked. After another wait, they took me to...

Lovely little hotel, a 5-10 minute walk from town center. Everyone there was very helpful, delicious breakfast. Room was spotless, and lovely. Wifi worked well, although I tried to stay off it ;-). My modest spanish worked fine, and some of the employees had decent english ( the front desk folks are very comfortably bi-lingual. I would very much recommend...

My husband and I stayed in the Alicia room, which is one of the rooms at the top of the property and has a lovely view from its balcony. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, even though they do not all speak fluent English. The small language barrier (our Spanish is of the...

We stayed here in La Paloma for four nights in September, 2016. The hotel has a very modest entrance on Pila Seca just a few blocks from the jardin. Once you enter the hotel and go through the small office, the hotel opens up into a very nice dining room and living room. There are 30 rooms in the hotel;...

our family ranging from 11 to 83 was very well taken care of as were our rooms. Hotel is a set of 13 charming and roomy rooms with plenty of areas for hanging out after a day of touring. Breakfast was delicious and hotel was close to town for easy access.

We stayed in the "Las Palomas" room for 2 nights in July during the middle of the week. The location is only a few blocks down the hill from the cathedral, that helps with noise. Parking was a few doors down in a guarded parking lot. The staff was great. Breakfast was good every morning, included, and the rooms were...

We stayed in 'La Rosa', a 'junior suite' with one double bed. It's not upscale, but it's clean and reasonably nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had friends who stayed at a fancier place for twice the price; and theirs was luxurious; but had less water pressure for showers than we did! In the hot weather we encountered,...
