Imagine…walking up a narrow 18th century cobblestone street, with foreboding walls on each side. Imagine…huge wooden doors big enough to allow the passage of horses and caballeros. Imagine…these same doors opening up to a series of mystical terraces and fountains. "Las Terrazas" is a virtual "Hanging Gardens of Babylon". The modern, comfortable "casas" themselves are hidden behind separate interior wooden...

My husband, a good friend and I spent a glorious week in San Miguel de Allende in May. We stayed at Las Terrazas San Miguel. From our greeting until the moment we left Greg and Murray, our hosts, made us feel like we were with family. We stayed in the beautiful Casa Grillo. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath...

Casa Mariposa was our home away from home for 9 wonderful days. It was our first visit to San Miguel, an amazingly beautiful old colonial city in the mountains of Mexico. After the ride from the airport in Leon (which the hosts helped arrange) our first view of the city was when we passed through the wooden front doors of...

My husband and I stayed at Casa Iris with another couple and found it to be just perfect. The casa is beautifully decorated, with plenty of space and 2 lovely outdoor patios. It is conveniently located, just a few blocks from the Jardin, and walking distance to all. Greg and Murray are amazing hosts and set us up with everything...

We returned in April, not content to wait until October. Staying once again in Casita Colibri, the season treated us to an array of song birds and even more abundant blooming flora. Las Terrazas is very conveniently located in Centro, yet, serene. Our hosts were as gracious as before, and even though they were traveling for a portion of our...

We recently returned from a 2 week vacation in San Miguel. It was our first visit to this lovely city and certainly won't be our last (think retirement!). Casa Colibri at Las Terrazas is a wonderfully decorated efficiency with wonderful sunrise and sunset views of the city below. The fact that each of the three casas for rent are on...

Our friends, my husband and I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were perfectly decorated and had a home like feel. We enjoyed the quietness of the location of Las Terrazas. The aroma of flowers and the gardens outside were magnificent! Our stay was enhanced by Greg giving us tips on where to eat...

We had the opportunity to stay for a week in Casa Mariposa, one bedroom, and Casa Grillo, two bedrooms, the second week in March, 2005. Friends joined us for the second week. Our hosts, Greg and Murray, answered all our questions before and during our stay. They live on site and are readily available be it for restaurant recommendations, booking...

There is a joyful ambiance that exists at Las Terrazas. We stayed in the charming Casa Grillo for 3 ½ weeks this past January and February and it was truly the best vacation we ever had. We had been to San Miguel de Allende many times over the past 18 years and stayed in some pretty nice places, so it...

My trip to Mexico was just the antidote for mid-winter doldrums. My friend and I stayed at Las Terrazas, where three completely independent casitas are set up against a hillside near the center of town. I cannot properly describe the sense of refuge that fell over me each time I passed through the main portal. The property is intimate, colorful...
